Hey you can't just say you are going to have a regatta without two or three polls. Havasu no Parker no Havasu no Parker.

Will they be sending out registration forms? How did you hear about it? Glad it's at Havasu this time. Parker is not big enough for that many fast boats at one time! :D

Parker is not big enough for that many fast boats at one time! :D Parker's not big enough for 5 (slow) boats at one time...let alone a regatta.
Unless you feel the need to abuse yourself by getting drunk at the local saloon, and trying to dodge the PWCs and other drunk 50-year olds...there's no reason to go to Parker...
...the exception is if daddy has a house there...then you try to convince everyone it's "cool".

HH, I think during the week Parker is fine. Never been there during the weekend madness, so no opinion on that. wink

I like going upriver to Avi (food/gambling), Topock (cocktails/BBQ)...
On the lake...Havasu Landing...under the bridge, Kokomo, the pizza place, sandwich shop, and Mexican food places...also you can boat up to Sugarues.
You know, what is really funny...Havasu has this rep for having "big water". However, I can remember several times during the week...middle of the day, sitting in the middle of the lake with nothing but glass, and skiing until my arms couldn't hold on anymore...
But Parker must be far superior...at least according to the "Parker Tourism Council" (ParkerDave)...

Laughlin can not be missed either. Nothing hanging out on the River during the day and adult fun at night. (actually both are adult fun) wink

Laughlin can not be missed either.Yeah...I think we are on the same page. I'm not married to Havasu...I like going alot of different places.
As a matter of fact, it was my prodding that caused the OP6C party to loosen it's "deathgrip" on Parker. Personally, I would like to get together with everyone twice a year, but make it a different spot sometimes, too.
Like Nacimiento...that's a great place to boat. Maybe Vegas/Mead...or Laughlin/Mojave...Needles...there are alot of great places out there...
...unless your daddy has a house in Parker, then it's...Parker forever, baby!

Havasu Hangin, you know what's interesting is I've seen alot of people that have boated in Havasu for years go to Parker for the first time, and say "**** Havasu" that place sucks compared to here! They are known as "Parker Converts" I've never seen someone go from Parker to Havasu and say that it's better though. I would call someone that liked Havasu better a "Havasu Convert" but it'd be more likely to fall under the category of "Figment of your imagination." Here we go again...looks the the "Parker Tourism Committee" has shown up...
...and yes, I have friends who say "**** Parker"...but then again, their daddy doesn't have a house there.
I guess this is a feeble attempt to keep young people going to Parker, as Dave must be getting tired of the Blue-hairs. Kinda reminds me of the Iraqi "Information Minister"...

"Parker is cool, come on down"...
Will the last young (non-trash) person please turn out the lights when leaving Parker...

Just got back from Parker and as far as the boating is concerned I didn't like it as much as Havasu, as far as the night life is concerned I thought it was better than Havasu. First off as far as the boating is concerned, it was way too rough for my 21ft boat, I either had to go real slow and plow through the waves or wide open and jump from swell to swell. Secondly I nicked my nice stainless prop on a rock that seemed to come out of no where down by the casino (probably my own fault). Thirdly I was staying at an apartment complex just south of the keys and it was a pain to tie off the boat without it getting trashed. However the night life was pretty fun and the breakfast burritos down at the corner of Riverside drive were excelent.

Is that why your all on edge lately?First of all, I'm always on edge...
Perhaps you should just "let go" of Parker...it's in the past...move on! Run away, and leave it to the blue-hairs...
Or, maybe that's why you stay...you know what they say about women...

I've been to Parker. Went there for several years.
Nice place.
I went to Havasu for the first time about 19 years ago. Against my will.
Nicer place.
Parker is too small and too crowded, not enough areas to boat. If you are intersted in nightlife...Parker is for you.
As far as a place to go boating then Havasu is definatly more interesting.
And, for the record, my daddy, nor any of my friends' daddy's own house's on either area. :D
