Just got back last weekend, we were there 4 days on an Admiral Houseboat. September is THE best month to go, weather was awsome! Water temp perfect for swimming, and air temp was great day and nights, we never even had to run the AC on the houseboat. Everyone should check out Powell at least once... wink

that's beautiful....
for Norcal, Lake Shasta IS the place to houseboat.
but I've always wanted to do Powell......
does the water level change very much from spring
to summer-?
--any lower rates for going in sept-?

--Sherpa Sherpa, I like Shasta too, a whole different look to that place, we may go there next year. Looks like Powell dropped about 2 feet from April to now. (3605ft to 3603ft).
Yes, the rates do drop after Sept. 15th, also less heat, and less crowds. see ya, Mark
