Can't think of the name but, it's on London Bridge Rd. a mile or two past the Holiday Inn. It was great food and a fun atmosphere. Donnie, Craig, what the hell was the name??

The Frigate is really good but it's kinda white trash. The Golden Horseshoe gave me food poisoning when I was 10 and have never been back

Actually, we still laugh when we walk in that place- big padded vinyl door, and single-serve sour cream- but good steaks!

The Frigate in Havasu is one of my favorite places to have a steak!!
I guess that makes me white trash!!!! LOL

Diane and I have found The Montana Steakhouse acceptable, but my favorite is Barley Brothers just across the bridge in the little mall on the right. Try the rib eye! Homestead sucks! Can't stand the sight of that disgusting fat-ass cook smoking while he cooks my steak.

It was amazing that after the Frigate burned down a few years back- when they rebuilt they recreated the same tacky theme as before. Part of its' charm i guess. Try the ribs.

Krystals just north of the island. You can see the sign from the hwy. They serve the best steak I've had in Havasu yet. Excelent sea food from what I've been told. NOT CHEAP.

Barley Brothers is good, but that is not the place that comes to mind when I want a steak. Golden Horseshoe is the place that comes to mind when I want a steak in Havasu. Went to Montana's, it was good, but the service and quality have since fallen off. I have never been there, but I have heard good things about Krystals.

Crystals serves up a pretty good steak...& lobster.
Couple of miles North on 95 up from the bridge -- on the lake side.

I had a party of 8 with me friday night at the golden horseshoe. none of my peeps liked the food. i thought it was OK. i ended up eating my bro's 2 ribs, half of his sirloin, my mother-in-law's porter, some of my wife's chicken fried steak, and not to mention my own dish, which was the small serving of rib eye. I couldn't sleep that night and was talking shit to john all morning. i couldn't let all that food go to waste.

Lets get some relativity going on for good food -
Lets start with a reference point:
Outback Steakhouse/Claim Jumper (assume these as equivelents for this comparison)
Are these fancy shmancy or just another name for mcdonalds?
How about Morton's?
How about 21 Ocean Front? Arches? Ritz?

Dont ever go to Max n' Ma's !!!! Terrible service!!! The worst !!!

How about Morton's?Ruth's Chris is 10 times better than Mortons!
I was at The Palm @ Caesars Palace in June, it was excellent! I believe that there is one in Santa Monica.

Dude; it's not havasu but if you're lookin' for a kick-a** steak, try The River Willow in the Bluewater Casino & Resort in Parker! Best damn steak I've had that wasn't fixed on the home barby! Order the ribeye (ya better be hungry) and pony up the extra $1.50 and have it cajun blackened! If this doesn't make ya see the light, you're blind!...and I think that the people that have met me will attest that I might know a few things about chow! It shows! :D

Thanks for the info Guys. The Golden Horseshoe is on London Brdige Road, but it is way outside of town, out by the airport.
You can take either London Brdige Road and just follow it out all the way past the Desert Hills Fire Department and the Golden Horseshoe will be on your left or you can take HWY 95 North out of town. When you get to the new Chrysler Dealership, make a left at the next street, where the the new housing development sign is. At the end of that street you'll be in front of the Desert Hills Fire Department, make a right and the Golden Horseshoe will be on your left about a mile down.

Golden Horseshoe rocks, but it is in BFE. Great food.
Juicy's has the best burgers and breakfast
Krystals has the best french onion soup
Casa Serrano has the best mexican food, but lousy Margaritas
Mudsharks (the little one) has the best pizza

Krystals is right off of 95 straight up from the Holiday Inn. It is the fanciest/most expensive place in town, but good food. A table by the window at sunset is to die for too.
Thanks about the site. Just keep on tweaking with it. Message board is getting fun too!
