Went there a couple of years ago. as far as bars go Fat Tuesdays and LA BOOM were awesome. We checked out the pyramids at both Tulum and Chitzanitza (i am sure I spelled that wrong)See at least one of those. Isla Mujeres was ok the Booze cruise over there was fun not much to do on that little island though. The best food we had was in old town Cancun, a few miles from all the hotels right on the beach. Don't remember how to get there though. Cancun is great we never had a bad day..

Did it last year...great sand on the beaches! Take the time to go south and see the ruins and spend a day at Playa Del Carmen...
Buy your booze at a local shop and save big $ over the resort prices.
Natural scenery great, everything else just still feels like you're in Tijuana...lots of hard sell guys selling cheap crap at ridiculous prices.

Swim with the dolphins its like 50 bucks awesome. Also a jungle cruise, you do it on a jet ski with a car steering wheel(ONLY IN MEXICO) then it drops you off for a snorkling dive for 30 minutes, its like 40 a person. NEVER PAY TIL YOU ARE THERE AND ON THE BUS, BOAT OR JET SKI.

We were there in Feb. The Moon Palace all-inclusive is Awsome, Incredible pools and facilities. Unlimited food and booze. They have their own water purification plant and keep your room stocked with bottled waters and beers. Our room was right next to the beach with a view of the Ocean. We loved eating at the grills out by the pool/beach.
Took a trip to the Beach Palace, nicer beaches but very small hotel. The tour to Tulum was too long of a bus ride for what you see, you can't climb the ruins anymore, and its packed with people. The Palace resorts Isle Isla Mujures boat trip was a lot of fun, the crew keeps you very entertained on the ride to the island. KC, our pics looks just like yours only different people. Enjoy your trip! <Mark> wink

Blue Bay Club & Marina (For Families) (http://www.restelinc.com/directory.cfm?CategoryID=247)
Located in a secluded resort/residential area north of downtown Cancún called Punta Sam, the 150-room resort parallels the Caribbean with two wings that rise three and four stories high. In front of the resort's northern wing is a large marina. Thoroughly Mexican in architecture, design, and ambience, Blue Bay Club Cancún has wood beams, fountains, bright-color accents inside, and a huge wrought-iron chandelier in the lobby contribute to the resort's rustic charm. Across the street next to the resort's timeshare section is an air-conditioned theater where shows, often preceded by a buffet dinner, are presented nightly. Massage is available inside or by the pool. Like all major Cancún hotels, Blue Bay Club Cancún has a water-purification system.
What to expect: This casual resort caters to families seeking Caribbean sun and fun at a moderate price.
Amenity highlights: A good-size main pool between the resort's main building and the long, white-sand beach bordering the turquoise sea provides fresh-water swimming and is surrounded by a sundeck furnished with lounge chairs. The beach stretches the entire width of the resort and contains thatch-roof palapas for snoozing and reading in the shade. A 75-by-10-yard section of calm water created by a man-made reef offers toddlers the opportunity to splash safely in salt water. Built over the water in the resort's center is a two-level wood deck furnished with lounge chairs. A second pool and a children's pool are located across the street in the resort's timeshare section.
Insider tip: Blue Bay Club Cancún's sister resort, Blue Bay Getaway & Spa, is an adults-only resort located on Cancún Island. As part of their package, all-inclusive guests of Blue Bay Club Cancún are permitted to use the Blue Bay Getaway & Spa's facilities--including the health spa--and dine at its restaurants. Bus and water-taxi shuttles run between the resorts. Each takes 20 minutes. Children under 18 are not allowed at Blue Bay Getaway & Spa, which includes topless and nude sunbathing.

Apple Vacations (http://www.applevacations.com/) I cannot say enough good things about Apple Vacations! They had an Apple agent with us every step of the way:
1. When we got to the airport for our departure.
2. When we got to the airport at Cancun.
3. They showed us what shuttle to take to the hotel.
4. They were there everyday at the hotel to inform us of activites, money exchange, where and where NOT to eat, etc.
5. When leaving the hotel they were there to show us what shuttle to get on.
6. They had an Apple Agent at the Cancun airport to assist us in anyway.
7. They were also there when we returned to Denver International Airport.
This company is EXCELLENT!!!!
Tulum (http://www.tulum.com/)
Tulum, to the south of Cancun is the only major Mexican ruins to overlook the Caribbean Sea.
http://www.bobbyhayden.com/Talum.jpg
Xel-Ha (Pronounced Shell Ha) (http://www.xelha.com.mx/default.asp?com_id=0&idioma=1)
The world's most spectacular aquarium: Xel-Há, a nature lover's paradise. Embark on an aquatic adventure. Explore creeks, lagoons, natural wells and ancient caves fed by subterranean rivers flowing to Mexico's beautiful Caribbean Sea.

If and when you guys go, have a GREAT time!!!
Cheers ~RiverKitty :D

Lorenzillo's Lobster house. Just tell the cab driver "the lobster house." It's expensive by Mexico standards, but one of the top 3 meals I've ever eaten. I think our bill with cocktails was $80, but the same meal in the states would have been $200. Biggest lobster I've ever eaten. Loved it.

Here I am... Like a f---ing retard I was so into getting everything ready that I totally forgot to check the posts...
Just got back and want to go again real soon. Stayed at the Park Royal Piramides...in a presidental suite....Could not have had a better room. livingroom, bedroom, 2 showers, balcony overlooking the ocean with a jacuzzi on the balcony. My kids did the swim with the dolphins and that was the highlite of their whole trip. We also did the jungle cruise, the kids drove their own boat and we also had alot of fun. Great beaches, great drinks. We will probably book the same room next year if not sooner. Oh by the way , do not have ice cream at the Haagen Daz store at the Plaza de Isla........ 2 double cones and 2 single cones..............$26.00
