I am pretty happy where I am. I was just curios. I don’t think I could go back to working in 2D though, once you do the 3D thing you can’t even think of working in 2D except when making prints.

Speaking of ACAD, we have V2000 here at the office and does anybody make any freeware that will convert a .dwg file to a .pdf or .jpg. I just found that Adobe has some but you have to pay... Thanks In advance.

As long as we are posting job openings...
I am looking for a CNC programmer to start after the first of the year. Prefer some one who has used "SDRC Ideas". My company machines precision components for the ground based turbine industry and for cylinders for military and commercial aircraft.

Do I get to draw BOAT parts???
Throw in a sponsorship on an SS or Gn and I'll take the paycut. I'll provide the boat you pay the bills.

gnracer98,
This may be a little off the original topic, but what hulls other than Rayson Craft do you guys use for GN racing? Also are there 20 & 21 Raysons used ?

gnRacer98

VDCruiser, themain stays of GN racing are the Raysoncraft and Rush Boats. The Raysoncrafts are 10 deg. v-bottoms in either a low profile 19' or a 21' cruiser, some of the cruisers are chopped 6" for a lower profile (IE: GN790). The Rush is 21' and more of a flatbottom with a shallow 'V'. Both Hulls are built in S. Calif.
There is also currently a Frah's on the circuit, a lighweight splash of the Rayson 19', I don't believe they are still in production. Several people have tried Schiadas, Spectras and Howards, but the handling under race conditions does not compare. I started GN racing with a 19' Schiada (Howard now has the mold), very similar hull to the 19' Rayson, but at race speeds it was like driving a compact car vs an SUV, the weight and bottom design is night and day difference.

Thanks gnRacer98, I thought I had seen a Schiada and a Rush on speedvision, racing at Long Beach. I take it the Rayson would make a good river boat.
