Has anyone heard anything new on when this lake's going to be full and open? I Love the riv but I have to admit, it's going to be nice to go power around on a big clean local lake.

I believe it is called Diamond Valley resevoir. And, it is full. It has been full for about one year I think.

It is called the Diamond Valley Reservoir, and it is not filled to max capacity. It will be nice to have a local lake to motor around on, but if you enjoy a refreshing dip in the water when you're boating about this won't be your best choice because no "body contact" is allowed as of the latest hearings.

I also heard it is limited to fuel injected boats and pwc's. Don't quote me on that though.

I recall seeing some BS flyer claiming they were going to have a big a$$ resort on the lake and full access. Just another lie by Big Brother to get us to buy off on their projects.

Went to Diamond Valley Lake today - this is a close as I got! Turns out the visitor center and view point are only open Friday - Sunday.
Directions:
I 15 to Temecula
Exit Winchester and go East
To View Point - Turn right on Construction Rd.
To Visitor Center - continue east on Winchester and follow signs (about 10 miles) to The Visitor Center on other side (east side) of Lake.
