Hey Jason it's not that bad just past Magic Mountain. The lake is real clean and the launch ramps are nice and big.

35mph, But we still made a few speed runs, if you call 64 a speed run.

it's about double the speed limit so i'd say it was a speed run. i was doing 65-70 out at peris one day during a test drive and thats as fast as i'll ever need to go at that lake.it wasn't even that crowded. i don't know how big castaic is or how deep it is though for that matter.any comparison to elsinore or perris?

In my opinion castaic blows those two
lakes away.
Much cleaner and bigger then both, not as many
beachs but has a lot of coves and one big
canyon at the back...
At the dam its about 300ft deep.
Mark out

Watch the beer at Castaic and speed runs, they will issue tickets. They are sneaky there during the summer use undercover to find the offenders :o

yeah, and they have sheriff boats as well, not just the lifeguards/rangers whatever you want to call them. But its great for speed runs and skiing during the week. Right now the water is FREEZING !!!!

I was at Elsinore form about 9:00 till noon. I just made sure I didn't touch the water and went to the self serve car wash afterwards to hose the boat down. Had a nice day.
