I just wanted to introduce my self. I am new at this & boating. Although I have been going to havasu since 98. I made my first boat purchase last summer. A 77 hawaiian day cruiser. I now have a 2003 21' aftershock skier. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about aftershock boats. Since I dont know much about boats, I didnt want to spend a ton of money on bigger name brand of boat. Plus I couldnt have ask for a better sales rep to help me with the whole process. So far so good with the boat. I have already taken it through its 10 hr break in period, now its ready for the season. First trip in 3 weeks, Lake havasu. I am hoping there will be a few more trips before op6??? You input is appreciated.

After Shock makes a good boat for a fair price. They have been making hulls for other people for many years. I have talked to a couple people at the lake and like the boats. What is up with Shockwave and Aftershock? One of them should change their names to stop the confusion. If you see a red and white Howard stop by and talk.

I heard the owners of Aftershock used to work for Shockwave...I think I read that in ***boat..so it must be true.. wink

A close frined of mine just started calling me "Scube Steve" at one our river trips. It has stuck with me ever since. From what I know Aftershock just boat Carrera boats. But I have to agree with TCHB, Aftershock & Shockwave is confusing. I have had people ask me, "what kind of boat do you have again, a Shockwave?"

Thanks for letting me know the scoop on the upcoming events, River Dave. I am going to have to miss this weekends event in elsinore. The weather man says to stay home. I'LL be out in havasu 3 weeks from now. And probably there the 19th for the Hot Boat poker run. I'll just be a spectator of course.

I am going to do what I can to fit in, just be my crazy self of course. There is nothing special about the name Scuba. Just a nickname that was giving to me when we were out partying one weekend. (after the movie big daddy came out)

I'll be posting some pic's, as soon as I get the proper set up & a how to manual. I just learned how to down load/burn cd's this weekend.
