Hard to beleive the 80's have been over for almost 20 years and It still is some of my favorite music. Has a lot to do with finsihing school in the early 80's.
Love those flashback to the 80's weekend on the local radio stations.

****in' 80's were great for music, you just didn't hear anything good on the radio,(not counting KROQ here in LA) kinda like now I guess.
I graduated in '74 and almost pissed my pants when the Ramones, Robert Gordon and Dave Edmunds-Nick Lowe started to record and put out records the following year or so. God bless them, there wasn't much to get excited about until they, along with the Clash, Sex Pistols saved the the music world from it's miserable, disco throbbing existence.

I still have a box full of black heavy metal concert tshirts some even have glitter on them :) I saw Metallica and Maiden when they were still back up bands. Back then concerts were only like $10, not 50 - 100 like they are now.
I still listen to metal, both old and new. Personally I think the US metal scene is pretty dead, what passes for metal nowadays I consider rap with guitars and drums mixed in. There are still a few bands such as Iced Earth that are still putting out some decent stuff but most of the newer stuff I listen to is from Europe.
