Something in the seventies, not sure on the model and something with a little v to the bottom, I heard that the flats are tricky to drive??

My dad is putting his '69 Sanger flat up for sale soon. Everything but the v-drive and motor. It was repainted last year and he stripped the inside and redid that also. It has about 5 runs on it since then. All the hardware is chromed or polished. The boat looks like new (hard to believe I know!). Right now its got a 575 Merlin with a 8-71. He wants to step up to a hydro. I'm not sure about price yet, but all you'd have to do is drop in a motor and v-drive. If you interested I could give you some contact info. As far as flats being tricky to drive, I'm not sure I agree with that. It all depends on whether or not you have it set up right. This boat runs straight and hard, but I've been in some that pull pretty hard.

Well interesting, keep my e-mail and send me one when you get a price. Did you or your dad work at beloit paper machinery?

By Beloit Paper Machinery I think you mean old Beloit Corporation. Neither of us worked there. My dad owns a tree service and I work for a city in IL and go to grad school at NIU. I'll see if I can get a few pics of the boat and post them. I assuming the boat will be on dragboat.com soon for sale.
