Well, if you mean Shaver, CA, then yes it worth it. This thread should have gone in the Hot Spots West area and you will probably get more responses. But, yes Shaver is very nice. Very family oriented. Camp Edison (camp ground) is awesome. Lake has several un marked large rocks to watch out for, but thats it. Very nice weather. Definately check it out. I'll be there a couple times this year.

Yes, Shaver is great! Very beautiful up there. They have a nice waterfall too. All the campsites have electricity and many are walking distance to the beach. The drive is pretty easy until you get to the mountain at the end, its a major climb. My bad luck story: I was going about 35, about a half mile from the shore when all of sudden we hear this loud axe/chainsaw/wood sound from the bottom of the boat. I hit a well hidden, submerged log. Probably like the one in the pic, only below the surface. I took big bite out of my skeg on the Bravo 1. cry Luckily nothing else was damaged. I took it into the shop and they welded/filled it and made it look like new. I would still go back again, great place for camping. :)

Are you one of those folks that thinks California is the whole world or what?
