Hummm, do you think that unlimitted wacker will be top dog or do you think a car motor will be??
You better watch out because a west coast preped jet boat seems to do pretty well out there.

Top dog in the 6 second class? Hummmmmmm, I would put my money on Marty Logans "Riding on Rails" if he shows.
If not, I guess a car mota then. eek!

Well I'm not one to root for the pump guys but if the Hot Tub shows up again he'll be right in there.
It's a pretty impressive rig. Not supercharged and runs on gas. He'll be right up there with the alky hydros in that 1,000' race.

Yep - Jerry runs on "gas" (w/an occassional shot of n2o). He "Runnered Up" year before last and red lit last year. This year he should be, Right There.

Thanks Superdave! Well, I won $1000.00 bucks, But left another $1000.00 for the reaction time for my friends! LOL (But I did cut a .001 red light!)
My 1000' time was 9.024 +/- I think I should be right on the mark for the 9 second class!
Thanks again to SDBA for recording our 1000' times! eek!

We'll be there with Steve Douglas's blown alky Placecraft, and possibly my former PLJ Mirage with a new blown alky motor in it also.Congratulations Rocket on the reaction time money at PB.I wasn't able to make it but they gave me a group phone call from the fish fry Saturday night.I'm not sure, but I think there could have been the consumption of alcoholic beverages taking place. We'll be in Bryan next week and see you guys in Malvern a couple after that.......

Thanks for the recap. Enjoyed reading your story. This was our first year to go as spectators to watch a few friends but it won't be our last. One of the neatest races we've been to in a while. Couldn't believe the close qualifing, the 7:00 sec. was like an NHRA prostock event, 7.0 or you went home...looking forward to next year.

With 4 rounds of qualifing, guys have a chance to really zero in on their number. Easier Said than done! 99% of the guys are use to running 1320'! Change it to a 1000', and out goes all you've done all year!
