Finally got the boat back together. Stepped up to a blown 500 cid Chevy from a naturally aspirated 496. What a difference a little boost makes.

I've rode in the back seat a few times, not as bad as you would think. One thing I know now is that I'm going to have to invest in some pedals for the cavitation plate. The handle did the job pretty well before, but now this thing gets a little squirrelly when you jump on it.

Looks good. Yes, at least a down pedal is necessary. You'll love it. Call Tom @ Menkens V-Drives and he can hook you up.

P-Money- Nice looking boat! What type of hull? Looks like she moves.

HotHallet, Thanks for the compliments. We think its an late 60's early 70's AquaCraft. The title said the hull type was "unknown." As far as it moving, I really didn't get much run time on it this season (motor finally went back in about 2 months ago), but so far running only around 7lbs of boost we've seen 82 mph at 6000rpm. While top speed is very near and dear to my heart, so is aceleration and this motor seems to get up and go. The motor should be good for at least another 1500 rpm, so we'll see what she'll do next spring!
