We're having a Classic Glastron/Carlson Meet at Cayuga State Park, 10am Aug 3rd. A very cool, like new, '84 Carlson Intimidator will be there. Factory Open/Wet Exhaust and runs in the 60's. I'll be in a Red Metalflake '88 CV-23. We'll have Carlson Jets and Sterndrives and a few OB's. Stop in and join us for the Day. We may do the Locks to Seneca....Mike.

CV-23,
I have a 79 cvx-20 and live in Rochester, the only "problem" is that I'm getting married on August 3rd!!! I love boatin and all, but I think I'd have some issues if I skipped out on the wedding wink . Perhaps a few of us can get together before the end of the season?
-Have fun

The boat is a 17ft 1966 Stevens. It has a 402 BBC with a tunnel ram with two 450 cfm Holleys. It runs around 70 M.P.H.
I have been to the cove by the island on Cayuga a couple times.
Have you ever been to Owasco Lake?
I was thinking of haveing a Beast Of The East get together there next year. At this point its just a Idea.

Very Nice Dan!.....Our Meet has been moved to Seneca Lake State Park. I just found out 300 Bass Boats are coming to Cayuga State Park on Aug 3rd for the Redman Bass Masters Tournament. I like to fish but give me a break....What a Mad House that will be, Mike.

We were at Cayuga lake a couple years ago. We spent the day out in the boat, then went for dinner. Around 8 pm we pull into this motel. I see nothing but Weed Whackers all over.Fishing Tournament Weekend!! eek!
So I go inside to get a room. The guy says no way. It took about four stops to get a room. wink

What boat are you taking to MD Dan? I'm trying to get pumped up to tow just to NY state. I'm planning on running 15N to 14N. I've never towed that far. I just had all the wheel bearing repacked two years ago when I had my brakes totally rebuilt on my trailer. I have Buddy Bearings. The tandem trailer seems alot easier to pull than a single axle....Do you think they (the bearings) need a squirt?....Mike.

Mike.I'd love to get together with you guys, ever plan events in Sunbury or other spots on the Susquehanna? I'm down here in the Harrisburg area (Dillsburg) and I'm looking at possibly buying a Carlson jet this winter or next summer (looking for one). Let me know if you want to get together sometime on the river.
You missed a great time on the flats in the bay, the ***boat folks are awesome. Hope to see you there next year. We may be heading back down there for a more informal get together later this year, watch for posts here on the forums.

Moon-Dawgie.....You just missed the Sunbury get together. It was July 13th. Just two of us showed this year. A real nice '76 Carlson CVX-20 Jet with a 468 Olds and my CV-23. John and Sara's Jet hangs out at the Northumberland Boat Club. We may get together next year in Williamsport. We have a 10 mile stretch to run, Mike.

hoolign....I didn't know the Jet was offered in 1989? I've seen some Custom CV-23's in Hot Boat but no interior shots. Your interior, in the 70's, was different than the IO. It had a storage area behind the Driver's seat and a split bench in the back. I have a bunch of pictures at http://groups.msn.com/GlastronCarlsonPhotoSite/mstrunksalbum.msnw ...Mike.

I thought I saw a pic on your web site of a red cvx-20 with shinny header pipes exiting through the rear slop of the boat, who's boat was that and do you have any other pics or contact info for them? I'd love to ask some questions about that boat, I want a cvx-20 jet in silver metal flake. I noticed there is a cvx-20 for sale in millville PA. I may take a look at it. Do you know the owner? It was in the auto locator a few weekes back.

Here's Bob's email....He has a '84 Glastron Carlson Intimidator. It's a CVX-20 Sterndrive with a 350 and chopper prop. It runs 63mph on GPS. The pipes are factory wet exhaust off factory center riser manifolds. I haven't seen the CVX-20 in Millville yet....Mike.
