I have negotiated a discounted rate at anna point for 2003. Tentative date fathers day weekend. This is NOT cast in stone. Please provide your input. If you attended this year and can't make it next year IF it's on fathers day weekend please let us know. The date can and will be moved if fathers day weekend is a problem
P.S. My dad loves jet boats and he would love to come

Fathers day weekend is great with me, it's funny, ALL kinds of things happen on fathers day weekend, big drag events, there's a bike rally here, the list goes on. But for some reason it's stupid, if eyes aren't opened enough to see what other events are doing and when, it will never go to the next level. Fathers day is great, but any date will do for me!
I have known quite a few "make friends and loose friends quick" type of people, I hope this isn't the case with this. My wife and I try our best to keep it real and down to earth, no bullshit, even the little stuff, and I think that's what will make the members who want to stay be a great group of people!

AMEN!
You will see us there on Father's Day or any other day of the year and we had to travel a gosh darn 900 miles to get there! But every mile was worth it. You all are just awesome, and I can't wait until next time!

This year my friends thought I had given up on them because they weren't listening when I said "Lake Anna" All my time and energy went into getting there this year and I will make the same effort next time! ... Mawnster

Just made my reservations for Anna 2003...Fathers Day weekend. I hope everyone else feel's ok about doing it those dates.
I would sugest to spread the word ASAP to let everyone know.
Also spoke with Nitro last night...and I agree that a registration form should be sign'd by all attendies. This should enclude a release form to protect everyone's interest....think about it , its a good idea.
Also there is (talk) of a blanket Ins. plan to further protect the (regesterd attendies) of this event (wich will be bigger and better). This concern is NOT to scare anyone away, but to protect anyone who God forbid may become injured while having some fun (ie) two boat's collide! It may be possible the the cost for such coverage could be made up from tee shirt sales.
None of the above topics are set in stone...vioce your opinions...its everyones desision that counts...and at a later date a decision will be made.
thanks for taking your time to think about the above...HammerDown

i think the coverage is a good idea if something does happen the lawyers will be looking to point a finger at someone

Release who from what.....all we said is we are going boating at Anna, who wants to join us. Everyone has a legal vessel with insurance right..........if not I think I know which way the finger is going to point.
Whats the difference if 2 of us gather or 10 of us.......do I need blanket insurance every weekend i gather with one or more boats?
This is not a racing event, but a gathering of good "FRIENDS". Is there a law against that. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/frown.gif http://free.***boat.net/ubb/frown.gif http://free.***boat.net/ubb/frown.gif http://free.***boat.net/ubb/frown.gif
