Nobody camped last year. There is a couple super nice campgrounds. Id bring my camper if a few wanted to camp. I don't think anyone else is into the camping thing.
Go to LakeAnna.com or something like that. They have a list of campgrounds.

Is there a HP limit on the lake? How rough does that lake get. I'd like to bring my jet boat but it won't take alot of pounding!

fat rat

There's no speed limit.we had a turbine/jet testing his new set up....he blasted thorough the no wake zone.....P.D. watching and nothing happened....also had a twin turbo drag boat.....I think he got a ticket for no mufflers......but besides that the lake has alot of coves and you can usally find flat water and other things.......right Wet Dream! :D

So far, we have 3 groups (from Raleigh) that are interested.Rocky Branch is located across the street from Lake Anna lodge, at the end of the creek where there is about 150 yards of no-wake zone, so the water is always calm at the camp. We had water & electric, and were able to beach the boat at the camp site. It's a 1st come 1st serve camp - no reservations. They have a ramp, not the best, but it's there and there is a good ramp right around the corner at the marina. Will provide more directions if needed as time gets nearer.

eek! The bombers response to the police is to show them the mufflers laying next to the engine in the back of the boat, but the police are usually more receptive when they are actually installed in the headers. I think bombers boat sounds much better without the mufflers, but I'm not the one paying the tickets either

Found this picture of Anna Point in a brochure that I had from Anna last year, getting ready to toss it and thought some of the people who weren't ther last year might want to see what it looked like.

ITS alot of fun hanging in the parking lot at night after a great day of boating shooting the breeze but you can,t beat a campfire and a beer. If we can get a bunch to camp that would be great. How safe are boats at night in a parking lot at night!!Has there been any thefts in the past!! Hate to go back home with out a boat.

I think you can see the water from the camp sites. I have a truck camper. I could park the truck in the water. wink

As far as sleeping on a boat (mine) well unless ya like trying to sleep in a Corvette...I'll have to pass. Also the comments ya made about the Mosquitoes, Fogg, and Rain...well I have to pass on that also...I'm sure camping on a nice warm beach would be kinda neet...but where would I plug in my Hair Dryer> :D

Can't see my nearest neighbor, may have scared a few deer, but they are used to it. Do whatever I want as loud as I want!!!! as long as the wife says I can. Been a few summer nights when I've fired the motor at 2 or 3 O'clock in the morming, trying to get ready for the river the next day. Well there may have been a few beers involved on occasion. Did you ever have a sleep indazed woman standing in your garage with her arms folded across her chest giving you that death look at 2 O'clock in the morning? Now thats scary.
