I launch on the river at Camp Davis just accross the bridge from Laughlin. Go accross and take a left and take another left at the first light.
On the lake I launch at Katherines. You can expect long lines if you DO NOT have a slip. You would have to probably sign up in the AM and come back around 12 to get a slip. Call Katherines and they can tell you how it works.

If you're launching on the river I would suggest Davis Camp or better yet the Chamber of Commerce launch area (less PWC's and you don't have to go through the no wake zone in front of Harrah's when you come back.)
On the lake, Telephone Cove is much quicker than Katherine's. That's if you don't mind driving down a dirt road for a 1/2 mile or so.
The best place I've found to keep my boat is in the security lot for the Belle/Edgewater hotels. It's up behind the outlet center and has a guard on the premises 24/7. No charge and a shuttle that runs to both hotels and back to the lot every seven minutes or so.

I'm not too sure about the other casino's but the nice thing about the Riverside is that, unless you're lucky enough to get a river view room, you can park in view of your hotel room. Usually any time we're in our room, we can see our boat and truck.

Riverside has great parking, easy to pull in and more room than most of the hotels wink

I agree on the Riverside. The worst is probably Harrah's. If you manage to get in, some ass will LOCK you in.

I launch out of telephone Cove!!! Katherine's is out of control!! The only thing about telephone is that it is a dirt ramp! As far as Hotel, I like staying at the Ramada they have great boat parking with security and I have never any problem!
Hope this help?

Ditto on Harrah's...stay away!
We used to launch and retrieve at Katherine Landing but it became such a zoo that it is actually easier to drive up to Cottonwood Cove and launch there. As for slips - good luck. If you were in Laughlin this weekend you might, I repeat might, have a chance to rent a slip from now thru next week and past the holiday weekend.

Thanks for the info. We are going to be on the lower river. I hate mohave, it is always choppy and launching at Katherine's or Telephone just sucks. Where is the Chamber of Commerce Launch? Is it the one in Bull Head or is there one on the Laughlin side? Has enyone used Big Bend State Park south of Laughlin to launch?

Depends on where you're going to hang out. I prefer Big Bend because I stay south of River Bend, and don't have to deal with PWCs like you do up north. Get away from the ramp, and it's great.

Big Bend is way cool for launching. Even on the holiday weekends you don't usually wait long at all. Davis Camp can get kinda crazy. Lotta lake lice. Their fees have gotten kinda stupid on the holiday weekends too. Katherine's = wait-a-thon. The Avi is not bad. As long as it's not a fireworks night. I may be up there for the holiday. Always stay at Riverside. Easy parking there. Had an Ice chest stolen out of my boat there once. They could've easily taken other things instead. Probably just some punk kids wanting the last few beers. In fact, I think all there was left in the cooler was sodas and some Red Bull. Ramada has good parking, but it's far and DEAD there. I like to just stumble down to Loser's Lounge from my room easily. :D :D

Where is the Chamber of Commerce Launch? Is it the one in Bull Head or is there one on the Laughlin side? It's in Bullhead just a few miles down from the bridge right past the little league fields and the park. If I remember right it was $10 a day to launch and $50 or so for an annual pass.

Thanks Coach, go for the Edgewater, their RV/Boat parking is the employee parking lot, so its very secure and has a shuttle running every 15 min. 24hrs.
At Harrahs you have to find/ask/tip a bellboy to shuttle you up to the RV lot, and you won't get a shuttle down if you arrive after midnight. Harrah's charges $10 for their "secure" lot (unless you are a platnum card customer). The only thing Harrahs has is a beach (with a lot of rules) and who needs their beach when you are out on the boat anyway.
If you stay at the Riverside clean out EVERYTHING from your boat, there have been a lot of thefts in their lot, my friend got ripped off and as well as others here on the boards.
By the way Edgewaters steak house (Hickory Pit) is the BEST IMO, we always make a point to eat there every trip.
Have fun! :D Mark

I always launch out of Fisherman's Access which is on the Nevada side north of the Riverside Hotel. It's the ramp on your left just after you cross over the bridge and into Laughlin. Rarely do I ever wait and there is always parking.
As far as parking I always stay at Harrah's, best hotel and casino IMO. Parking has gotten worse over the years, just this past year they took away a ton of upper parking structure space for employee parking. If you can't find a spot on top of the parking structure they want you to park in the lot accross the street...BS make the employees park there! If you get off the river at a decent time you can usually find space on top of the parking structure. Thay have gotten alot better about not letting people block others in as they require you to register your vehicle/trailer at the front desk upon check-in. As far as a $10 fee for any non-platinum members I have yet to pay a $.01 unless that is new policy within the past 2 months.
