During duckdiving a wave, I once got smacked in the face by a seabass.
Fell on a couple big jellyfish after trying to pull off a late lip maneuver... That didn't feel very good....

Many years ago when I was bodysurfing I had a few of them that rode the wave right next to me...talk about scary! eek! They were real playful and rode about 3 waves with me, awesome after the initial scare. smile_sp
My brother once was bodysurfing in LaJolla(by aquarium) treading water and felt a downward tug on his fin, nearly shit his shorts eek! eek! ...after a few seconds he noticed a sea lion wanting to play with him. :p

:D Really? Not based on all the dolphins I've seen and pictures on line: http://www.seaworld.org/just-for-teachers/lsa/i-019/images/dolphin-and-trainer.jpg

Just a dolphin.
I've surfed with them before. They are pretty big though which is scary at first, but they're just havin fun. A little different than flipper.

I saw on the news a couple of days ago there were two sharks, they werent sure of the type, hanging around the surf at Pacific Palisades. The footage of them sure looked intmidating.
Besides, dolphins have horizontal tail fins...dont they?

Right click on the pick and e-mail it. The title comes up dolphin-surfer...
If that was a shark, it had a hell of a nose job!

wow, good point 1 step, the dolphin in the above picture is horizontal and the one in the surf is diffently verticle. Any experts on different types of dolphins and sharks on these boards?

I can't tell if it is a Dolphin or Shark but damn I would be shitting my drawers!!!!!!!!
The above pic looks like a vertical tail meaning a shark, but it also looks like it could be horizontal meaning a dolphin. It also looks to be about 10 to 12 feet. I am not sure if there are Dolphins that grow that big. It looks like it has a blunt nose and not pointed like a Dolphin but could be distortion from the water that is making it look like that. But like I said, either way I am changing my drawers.

Well after extensive(5 minutes) research on this (http://www.sharkfriends.com/photos.html) web page, I have come to the conclusion that this is a Dolphin. I could not find any shark with a dorsal fin that looks like the one in the picture.

That is why I live in land. If I am not in freshwater I am not getting out of the boat. When it comes to me being for dinner, I am just not up for that, freshwater or not. I have seen waleyes big enough to take a bite out of me too. eek! My dad has one of them on his wall. Razzer sharp teeth cut up his hands when he pulled it in. jawdrop
