Very nice. It looks great for a 43year old boat.

Cool boat. By the way, the top and bottom cowl on the Merc (the painted white portions), and the stainless steel center cowling are from a 1958 Mercury Mark 78. In 1959, the Mercury cowling became squared off with an air inlet in the back of the top of the cowl. By 1960, the cowling was still squared off, and the center cowling was painted black with little white dual pinstripes around it. The identification changed also in 1960, and the Mark 78a of 1959 became the Merc 700 of 1960. I raced Mercury outboards in that era, and worked on them daily. :)

Your boat is sooo cool I would think long and hard before selling it. Unlike vintage cars, vintage boat restoration is very limited. Your boat is so pretty and such a piece of craftsmanship. I would love to have my first boat back. Take care. :)
