Does anyone know where the term "Wet Willy" originated? :confused:

My mother e-mailed me and out of the blue asked me what a "wet willy" was eek! ...I told her I thought it was when someone licks their finger and then flicks your ear or pokes their wet finger in your ear...
...and now she wants to know where the term came from...I have NO IDEA , so I turn to the more educated crowd here at ***boat for some answers. Somehow I knew I'd get some 'wet willy' as in 'wet weenie' replies. :rolleyes: :D but hopefully someone will know the answer or have something that sounds good to appease my mommie dearest. :D

WetWillie was derived from the Latin word Wetiliouswilious roughly translated to wet finger. In the early part of the eighteenth century American colonials shortened it to YeOldWetWillie. In the Victorian era of progressive thinking it was changed again into WetWillie. During the sixties after an extended acid trip John Dopesmoker decided to take his WetWhillie (Wet finger) and stick it into his friend’s ear and the rest is history.
I am not a history expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once!
