Got back today....I love that mountain! It was warm and sunny on Monday, clouded up and started to snow on Tuesday and didn't stop the rest of the time. You gotta love snowboarding on 12" of fresh powder. Its like wakeboarding without the rope. Cutting through the trees.....Almost takes my mind off the river.... :D

Me and the kids...at the top.

My nine year old son followed me down this.. the Cornice bowl. It looks steeper from the top.

Even my wife is learning to snowboard....

I know exactly how steep the cornice is, I hopped off the icy lip at the top one time, yard saled, and didn't stop tumbling until waaaay down the hill... Luckily some nice peeps took pity on me and brought all my crap back to me so I didn't spend the next hour crawling back up the hill in search of my gear!
Brings back memories...

The whole family goes at least once a year. I try to get up there at least twice with friends. Since the kids are still little we normally just take them to Mountain High. If you have kids you know.....you spend 3/4 of your time taking care of their gloves, or their zipper is stuck, or my sock feels funny or a million other things....
Honestly the snow was gettin thin in the trees before this storm. The runs were fine but groomed is boring. The freshy was soooooo sweet, we just got lucky on the timing.
I don't know Avi's (except in Laughlin) :D I'm lookin at a trail map right now....Where is it in relation to something else??

The Cornice is fun! I kind of miss it the way it used to be. The cut the lip too much these days. Daves has a lot of what the Cornice used to have on the right day. And those west facing runs of Linclon Mtn are pretty great after a storm!

OK, I know those chutes. Didn't get there this time, cuz of the kids. Took my daughter down Spook, it was icy. We did get up 22 but went left down Quicksilver and Back for more. The pow was thick up there.
I'm thinking it was still pretty rocky there. But the sky was puking non-stop for two days when we left.
