View Full Version : Boat registration in Nevada or Arizona

Do you have to pay unsecured proptery tax in either of these states if you register your boat there. In orange county I think it is 1% of the boats value. Any help would be great. Thanks

registered as a non resident of arizona, and no property tax. I had registered a previous boat in nevada, and had no property tax either.

Not in AZ, you just pay by the foot 22ft is about $110. a year instead of $600 p tax and $5.00 for reg. :cool:

My 20' Spectra comes to about 60$. They charge by the foot. $30 of that is for the trailer at DMV. No Property tax though. Below I did a cut and paste of NV Dept. of Wildlife fees.
Title Fees
Initial Certificate of Ownership (Title), this includes new, untitled, and out of state watercraft: $15
Certificate of Number (Registration) and Decals
Less than 13 feet $10
13 feet or more but less than 18 $15
18 feet or more but less than 22 $30
22 feet or more but less than 26 $45
26 feet or more but less than 31 $60
31 feet or more $75
Other Fees
Nevada Title transfer fee: $5
Replacement Certificate of Ownership: $5
Replacement Certificate of Number and/or Decals: $10
Replacement Certificate of Ownership and Certificate of number: $15
