1991 Eliminator Fun Deck? I just recieved a copy of the title to the new boat and it is a 1991 not a 1994 like I was told  So I want to make sure it is a good deal :( The boat is a 1991 eliminator 24' Fun Deck with a 502merc and a Bravo II. I would say the boat is an 8 out 10.

OK high end 15k. low end 12k. But thats just going off your pix. Well thats all I have to go off of too :( Im having a marina look at it in oregon but I will be buying it blind. It was a steel at 1994 book but NADA does not have it any earlyer than 1994. Called elim and they said 20k-25k but I know thats BS. I was thinking of changing my offer to 10K plus shipping.BUt thier are alot of nice boats in town for that kind of money and I can see them. What to Do? What to Do? I love the boat but feel unneasy with the blind deal. eek!

If the rig is as clean as it looks, and the drivetrain is solid, 18-20K would be my max. Those are great boats. Just my $.02. :D

If I were you SV I would get on a plane and go look at it ...for that kinda money it would be worth it to look !Or maybe there is a board member living in the area that could look for you.
You know now that the seller misrepresented the boat so ...maybe not such a steal after all...What else did he lie about?

You know now that the seller misrepresented the boat so ...maybe not such a steal after all...What else did he lie about? Well im not so sure he ment too misrepresent it. He is a boat builder that had this boat brought in to be converted to a parasail boat and the owner never showed back up (for 3 years)so the builder put a lean on it and got the title that way. The boat was not even listed I found it thru on line chat about a year ago and ask some questions than just about 2 weeks ago the guys wife called me say she found a note on a piece of paper saying I was interested. I really should fly there but its in the middel of nowhere and would requrier alot of time and money. He does seem very honest and does have a contract on company letter head. I checked out the his bizz. and its for real. So I just dont know. Do these boats bring 20k very often. I would be getting it for much less but part of the reson I was going to buy it is to resale it due to the great deal. You know always trading up!I would think for 10k I could not go wrong just for Hull and Trailer or Drive and Motor package alone?

My question would be how much do you think this guy has in it? He wants to recoup whatever losses he has incurred to this point, it hasn't sold in a year and he has no personal interest in it. I say low ball it and go from there, it seems like you are his only lead so use that to your advantage - you have nothing to lose.

Where is it located at right now? If your uneasy then screw it, dont loose any sleep over it.
I would water test it before anything.
Looks clean for a 91' after some superv lovin' you might be able to get 18-20k for it.
good luck.

SuperV,
Get on an airplane and go look at it. If the deal goes south due for some reason all your out is plane fair and a little time.
I bought my boat out of state and flew out to look at it. I dont think I could have gone through with it otherwise.

I don't know actual values persay, but it sure looks like it's worth every penny of 18-22K to me. If you could finagle it for less then 15 I'd jump on it.
RD Going to buy a ticket today! :D Already got a deposit on it wink So im sure it will be coming home with me if all goes well.
