I'm no boat expert but, when I saw that boat on ebay the other day (with a bid around $5,700) it didn't strike me as a great deal. For me it would only be worth it if I had a motor & drive laying around. If you bought new stuff, it would be $12-15K just to get it running.
I'd be curious to know the final cost after it's all put together. That particular boat usually runs in the $15K area.

I just think there is somewhat of a double standard as to what's acceptable and not on this board. I don't really care either way, just be consistent.

572, I totally agree that threats are not something to teach kids and I do not condone it. However, I do believe that when a threat is made, it is usually out of anger, should be face to face, and should be acted upon immediately. Anger is a feeling that everyone has, and you can't hide it from kids. I don't know how old your kids are, but sooner or later they figure out things that their parents could never teach them. Most values are learned at home, most actions seem to be learned at school and with their peers. As for the standards on the boards, things were good around here before HB decided to throw a few moderators around and eliminate even the fun nudity. Boobs in my opinion are clean and acceptable forms of nudity. But thats just me.

Kwicherbitchen.........I think you are right. If you put it back together as a Jet, you will probably have around $15K in it. You can buy the same boat for around $18K - 20K complete, perhaps less if you look around and scope out a good deal.

You need to bring your freeboard challenged wacker...I'll fire up the fat assed carver cruiser put the trim tabs down, trim the drive up and practice my hole shots and make some nice 6 ft rollers for you to jump. RD Hmmm? 65-75K, what year? I would think that is a bit of a stretch considering most vehicles (boats included) lose value the second they leave the dealer. I guess there could be exceptions. I would say that the boat you are speaking of is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
