I would like to know if it is possible for a jet drive system to propel a boat over 120 mph?

Good That makes me happy to here! I was woundering about something like a B impellar with a 2 spead gear box soes you could get the take off of an A posibly and get the top end speed of a B impellar Now I heard something of a D impellar mythly though!

runs over 120 in the 8s. has nos but is capable of running 92 octane on the lake all day long. look for some faster times in a few weeks in chowchilla. there are faster jets by far but you wanted to see this one. :D later

Mike Harlan (Ultra Performance), the man who rigs Ultra boats, has a jet boat that does 140 or so. He holds a record or two. If you want to know about jet boats & speed, he's the man.

There are a few Eagle Tunnels that run in the 120's, but they are not much of a "lakeboat". They are the river marathon boats. There has been some work done with gear reduction boxes so high reving engines can spin "D" impellers. I had heard that a 2 speed gear box was being done at one time, but don't know what ever happened to it.
