It's 3:00 a.m. and I just returned from the unforgiving waters of Lake MEAD. After 3 of the most wonderful funfilled days of my life. One in which I finally got the little sbc dialed in she ran 78 mph on my GPS. While towing her behind the house boat the curtis felt she didn't want to leave lake mead. The tow rope that I had just purchased that was supposed to hold 3,000 lb. snapped twice. After that the wakes took over and she dipped. I made one last effort to save her. I tried to get another line on her but the 2 fully inflated inner tubs couldn't keep her afloat.
Can you imagine having to drive 300 miles with an empty fu^$ing trailer behind you. I must have thrown-up 3 times on the highway.

Man! That is a harsh story bro. Sorry to hear it. I hope she was covered by insurance. Is it going to be recoverd or left to the lake bottom?

I am so bummed for you. I hate towing my boat behind the houseboat,and my boat is pretty big.

That is terrible to hear, sorry for your lost. Hopefully insurance will take care of you or you can bring it up. At least no one went down with it.

I have been going to LM for well over 30 years and I have seen the worst water there than any where else. This includes havasu, mojave and powell. My parents had one of their previous boat sink there as well.
My mom and dad were there 2 weeks ago for 80 mph winds that were measure at 8-10 feet tall by the weather service. That is unreal.
