My favorite quote about bob hope from the movie, Road Trip:
"Bob Hope could jump that in a golf cart!"
He was a funny man, too bad he's gone.

A true legend is gone, and unfortunately more are to follow. We are lucky because we lived through the golden age of entertainment. Our children will not be so fortunate, I fear. What icons will they have? Chris Rock? God help us all........

We have mourn presidents, diplomats, scientists and others, but a jokester from Liverpool shall go down as one of the greatest Americans, and probably the most loved. He will live on in a library of art, under appreciated by his peers, but not by his millions of devout fans. God bless you Bob.

To paraphrase Mrs Ronald Reagan, "We've lost a member of our family".
May God continue to bless Bob Hope, his family and America.
