What is the turn out like in Havasu for thanks giving?... And how has the weather been that time of year in the recent past?

I was there last Thanksgiving weekend. The weather was beautifull during the day,but cool at night. The water was smooth. There were snow birds trying to drive, which made trying to get around town a challenge.

It's (Parker) beautiful for Thnxgiving....we have been going the last 3 years since we got the place....probably 80% of the folks on our street come up and we have a block party...Baked Turkey, Deep Fried, BBQ, etc...it's a great time to take the quad's out, hit the desert bar and drink with your friends...It's funny, but you see the same people at the desert bar that you see at Foxes during the summer, but with more clothes on...
If it does not rain, it is also nice weather to take the boat out for some hours of nice smooth and empty water...great weather for the top speed runs as well...Last year rained so we did not drop the boat in, but the year before we dropped it and went out with long sleeve shirts and had a blast...

Yah, the wife and I were thinking of going up there this year. I've never been up there on Thanksgiving weekend. It's gotta be better than staying home and going Christmas shopping. :rolleyes:

mbrown, thats our plan too!! maybe we can meet up at the desert bar or something!!
that would be a blast!! mr b sold our sand rail a couple days ago, i was hoping he would wait till after thanksgiving, ow well!!!...hopefully we will have some type of toys........ wink

yes, rained last year. took the boat out on Thur. and went to Vegas on Fri. Love it in the winter.

Missboatnam...we definitely have to hook up for drinks at the Desert Bar...we will probably be there on Friday or Sat depending on the weather...or we might be on the water if its hot..

We are trying to plan the trip now.. It would be great to try to get together over that weekend.. We will be bringing the kids.. I will talk to the little lady tonight. But Im pretty sure that we are going..

We'll be at Parker (Echo Lodge). We have been going for the last few years. Lots of fun, hell we even go skiing.
