Eclipse Stereos...crap or not?

I had an Eclipse in my truck and it has pooped out for the second time in a year. It has a 3 year warranty so it is covered. But it takes 2 to 6 weeks to get it back from the factory.
Are Eclipse products crap or is this deck just a lemon?
They said 3 strikes and they will give me credit towards a new one......

Usually Eclipse makes good stuff. I have had a few different Eclipse decks in different cars over the years and not had any problems ever.

I went to Estevan to see a solar eclipse when I was 12. It was really something to see.

We had an Eclipse crap out in less than a year.... the right channels started intermittantly crackling and going away.... It was a discontinued model, so we were offered an upgrade, but we still had to pay the stereo store for their troubleshooting, warranty intervention and installation services!

What model number, and where did you get it? Al and Ed's. They suck. Like they are doing me a favor to buy stuff there. It was close to my office.

i have an eclipse head unit. works awesome for years now.lots of my friends have them as well, i think you got a lemon.

eclipse is a very quality car audio component i have had 4 decks and a screen that i currently have. i think al & eds is the prob.
