SO, I have a question for you GolfCart owners. When/IF you launch your boat with a golfcart, do these carts have the power to pull them out alright? Seems like with the lack of vehicle weight it would be a problem. Wouldnt the weight of the boat and trailer pull the cart down the ramp into the deep's of the river  Just curious, want to get a cart for the RV park. Thanks..............Tobtek

My golf cart is new and it has a tough time making it up the ramp with 5 people and a load of stuff. If I attached the boat to the back...I would be swimming.

maybe a jet ski, but not a boat. What do you want to launch? This:

thats pretty much what I was thinking as well. The carts just seem like they would be to light to launch a 22ft boat. So, are they worth the $$$ just to run around?

So, are they worth the $$$ just to run around? YES, 120 out eek! and you need to walk back to your trailer.

Toby- give me a call. My cart will pull the twin no problem. I actually use it to put the boat away and pull it out. I got a guy in escondido that will hook you up on a nice cart. 48 volt, new batteries, lift, new seats. Of course they are worth the money, don't want to walk around when its 110 plus out side. So how was your trip??

i cant belive it can launch a boat, how much weight do ya think a cart could handle to do that??.....i think ours would be a little to big....but i like that idea!! :D

I think a lot it depends on the steepness of the ramp. In addition, an electric cart would possibly have more torque then gas. We have Sport Turf-EZ Go GAS (ie:bigger engine), and I would never contemplate pulling anything bigger than a single jet ski on our ramp.

This belongs to a friend of mine who use to use it to trailer his heavey ass 3 place trailer and ski's. I'm sure you could drop that mach22 with one. Besides, they're fun to terrorize the neighborhood with :p Be neat to have once that shopping center goes in. BEER RUNS! :D
Mine is in pieces in my side yard. :(
It's a 4 stroke and he bagged the rear to help with the tongue weight.

WC,
Good sites, why will LACONCEPTS give you dealer pricing without a reseller's number...just interested to know because I am thinking about calling them since I like some of their upgrades.

I too have seen the G-cart launch the 22'DCB at the Islander. You might try these oter sites also
www.desertsportscenter.com (http://www.desertsportscenter.com) you can by a decent used EZ-go cart from Rainbow carts in Corona for about 1600-1800 $$ :D

I bought my Yamaha cart straight from Taylor-Dunn in Anaheim. There is a lady there that only deals in used carts (all brands) and she has some smoking deals. Got mine for WAY under market and it looks brand new. Even got her to throw in 6 brand new batteries. Mine is the typical 4-6 passenger golf cart, but she had some carts used by amusement parks, etc. that she said had way more power. At the time I didn't see why I would need that. :(
I used it a couple times to launch two SeaDoos (don't worry, I sold them :D ) and I'm sure it could have pulled the boat, but it exhausted the batteries VERY quickly.
Definitely worth the money though when it's 120 out and I'm not walking!!!!!!!!! Adding the misters helped too! :D

I've got a 98 Yamaha, 48 volt and looking to add a few trick components. Have searched the web and gotten quite a few ideas. Didn't know if any of you knew of some west coast places that dealt with Yamaha accessories. Seems most components are set around EZ-Go and Club Car.....Need something to do since it's 2 degrees out there. :p

Tobtek,
My buddy has a place around the corner from me at the Beachcomber. He lives in Canyon Lake and does custom carts out of his house. He has several for sale right now. You may have seen him at Site 6 ramp with his 10 passenger lifted cart...it is sweet. Shoot me an e-mail if you want his info.

So what is the preference for towing - gas or electric? My buddy has a gas EZ-Go that we use around the pits, but I have a line on an electric EZ-Go that needs some ( a lot  ) of work.
