Saving our state from the worst Governer/legislature combo in our states modern history.
A trained ape with a touchscreen that had 2 options (Veto and approve) would do a better job than Davis has or Busti would. At least the ape would veto about half of their (this legislature's) stupidity.

* ending the rubber stamp for the liberals and lefties in the state legislature
* the start of a return to fiscal responsibility in the state
* a long road back to fix a lot of broken stuff in the state including giving illegal aliens drivers licenses and making Indians pay taxes on their businesses/casinos
* the end of business as usual
* the beginning of the LA Times whining about Arnold's every move
* the end of TV ads with Cruz Bustamante's voice whining at me
* a new law being passed allowing the groping of all female LA Times reporters
* Gray Davis looking for a new job
* hope that we can replace Boxer and Feinstein with REAL senators to represent us in Washington
* keeping businesses in California and someday bringing new ones here to replace the many we've lost and continue to lose

Just my humble opinion but, Most normal half educated thinking people would agree that Arnold is better for Kaleefornia (even though his camaign is run by Pete ( I hate civil servants ) Wilson) than Grey ( even though you can't be here legally but you can drive here legally ) Davis of Cruz ( everyone needs to pay more taxes except Indian run Casinos or special interest groups ) Bustmytaxesagainamante. Hum...a man with no political back ground and new ideas or a man who has no new ideas and has failed miserably ... twice.

I am a registered republican and I voted for Pete Wilson, which I later came to regret. As I said earlier Pete was bad for The majority of the civil servants in this great state. So from my point of view Arnold looks like a puppet candidate for Pete Wilson.Which scares the heebee jeebees out of me. so for me it's McClintock.

Indians(We screwed them over)Perhaps you may have "screwed them over", but I have never done harm to them for sure. I pay taxes to the state, the "indians" are, and have been, exempt from paying taxes. I believe its a fair request to ask them to ante up (no pun intended) a portion of their casino income to the state.
and Enviromentalist(You enjoy breathing crap and not looking at trees.A bit dramatic dont you think? I enjoy fresh air and the cool shade of a tree as much as anyone, but I also enjoy boating, off-road motorsports, hiking, camping and general recreation in our beautiful state too, and there needs to be a fair balance in preservation versus land use.

Reports you're not likely to see on the front page of the LA Times:
------------------------------------------
VIENNA (Reuters) - Arnold Schwarzenegger, under fire for allegations that he once expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler, helped break up a neo-Nazi rally in 1964 when he was a young body-builder, an Austrian magazine reported.
In the latest issue of NU magazine, prominent Austrian politician Alfred Gerstl said the then 17-year old Schwarzenegger and fellow body-builders "chased away the Nazis" during a neo-Nazi protest against the anti-fascist director of a teaching academy in Graz, Austria.
Schwarzenegger is the Republican party's top gubernatorial candidate in California's recall election. In Tuesday's poll, California voters will decide whether to keep or replace Democratic Governor Gray Davis.
Gerstl's comments will be welcomed by Schwarzenegger's campaign managers, who have been struggling to deflect allegations that the Austrian emigre and action-film mega-star once held Nazi sympathies and had repeatedly mistreated women.
The U.S. broadcaster ABC and the New York Times reported the Nazi allegation this week, citing a book proposal containing an unpublished transcript of an interview with Schwarzenegger made during the filming of the 1977 documentary "Pumping Iron."
In the exchange, Schwarzenegger was quoted as saying: "I admired Hitler...because he came from being a little man with almost no formal education up to power. And I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for what he did with it."
The actor responded by saying that he always despised Hitler and the Nazis and that the theme was largely "verboten" when he was growing up in Austria. His father was a policeman under the Nazis.
-----------------------------------------------
George Butler Statement on Schwarzenegger
Fri Oct 3, 9:58 PM ET
By The Associated Press
Statement from "Pumping Iron," director George Butler, identified as the source of transcripts of interviews with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The campaign said it did not solicit the statement, which it released Friday:
The book proposal I wrote in January 1997 was a private document that was intended to be read by a small number of publishers, each of which had agreed in advance to do so under the rules of absolute confidentiality. The document was copyrighted and contained a prominent disclaimer as follows:
"Certain statements herein are still of a speculative nature, as in any research proposal, and therefore should not be taken as fact until verified."
I have never witnessed or heard of Schwarzenegger making remarks that are derogatory to anyone of the Jewish faith.
As I have made clear to The New York Times and ABC, statements by Schwarzenegger (taken from the "Pumping Iron" outtakes) were not in context and not even strictly accurate as it turns out from a closer reading of a copy of what (I believe) to be a transcript of the original, now found after many years. (The book proposal may reflect inaccurate notes from 1975-6).
I have been asked whether I have the actual outtakes. I do not have the outtakes. However, here are the relevant paragraphs taken from the transcripts described above:
Schwarzenegger says:
"In many ways I admired people — it depends for what. I admired Hitler for instance because he came from being a little man with almost no formal education, up to power. And I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for his way of getting to the people and so on. But I didn't admire him for what he did with it. It's very hard to say who I admired and who are my heroes. And I admire basically people who are powerful people, like (President) Kennedy. Who people listened to and just wait until he comes out with telling them what to do. People like that I admire a lot."
Earlier in the interview, he says:
"Yes, in Germany they used power and authority but it was used in the wrong way."
There has been much speculation on the part of the media concerning facts about Arnold Schwarzenegger. A lot of it has been false. I chose not to write this book after conducting at least two years of research.
-------------------------------------------
arnold has the support of Rabbi Marvin Hier, dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. the simon wiesenthal center is in los angeles, it's an international center for Holocaust remembrance and the defense of human rights and the Jewish people.
Rabbi Marvin Hier, dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, said that if Schwarzenegger did express admiration for Hitler he should apologize. But he added that the actor has worked on the center's behalf for years, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars and speaking out in favor of its pro-tolerance programs.
"For the 20 years that I've known Arnold, I can say without reservations, he is not an anti-Semite, he is not a supporter of neo-Nazis or racists," Hier said in a telephone interview Saturday from Jerusalem.

:D This is the same question I have been asking...and the answer I keep coming up with is that while Davis had his base, there were far too many people that either bought the negative ad campaign Davis (doofus) ran, (you would have thought that Bill Simon was Hitlers right hand man) or just thought it didn't really matter. California voters very often go with the flow, which is much too much of the problem here. It is one of the reasons I have thought of leaving the state, because I think in some ways the state is beyond salvage. This seems to have stirred up a lot of people... maybe it will end up being a positive with voter involvement for the long run...stay tuned...

I also have to agree with others, if you're not living in this state to experience what has gone on, you don't know shit.
:( cry I know a guy named Jack Schit :D :p
Jack is the only son of O. Schit and Awe Schit.
O. Schit, the fertilizer magnate, married Awe Schit,
the owner of Kneedeep N. Schit Inc.
In turn, Jack Schit married Noe Schit,
and the deeply religious couple produced six children:
Holie Schit, Fulla Schit, Giva Schit, Bull Schit and the twins:
Deep Schit and Dip Schit.
Against her parents' objections,
Deep Schit Married Dumb Schit, a high school drop out.
After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schit divorced.
Noe Schitt later married Mr. Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them,
she wanted to keep her previous name.
She was then known as Noe Schit Sherlock.
Dip Schit married Loada Schit and they produced a nervous son,
Chicken Schit.
Fulla Schit and Giva Schit were inseparable thoughout childhood
and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a duel ceremony.
The wedding announcement in the newspapers announced the
Schit-Happens wedding.
The Schit-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Hoarse.
Bull Schit, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world.
He recently returned from Italy with his new bride,
Pisa Schit.
So now when someone says, "You don't know Jack Schit",
now you can correct them...
