My first boat was 1971 Wreidt Maverick, The boat was silver metalflake with red trim, 390 horse 455 Olds and a Berkeley jet with a Jetovator.
I bought the boat from my first x-wife's uncle for $1500 back in 1974

My first was a 16' Tahiti with a B20B volvo I/O. Would go all week on a tank of gas but didn't have any power. 2nd was a Hondo jet with a 455. Reliable but sucked the gas. Last was a 72 Kindsvater runner bottom v-drive.

my Dad gave this to my brother and I when he retired in 1984. He built it new in 1963. We restored it 5 years ago. http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/524/453redrock21-med.bmp

1975 Phantom with a 455 and a Berkely 12JC.
The previous owner rebuilt the engine and ran it for maybe a few hours. It sat outdoors in the rain one winter and the velocity stack directed water to the cyliners with the intake valve open. When he went to start it in the spring, it cranked less then a full turn and hydro-locked and bent a rod.
I bought it for $400, took a picture and advertised it in Boat Trader for $1400. Sold it for $1400 to the first person to look at it.

Mine was a 1970 16 foot Tahiti with a 455 Olds and a Berkley jet. It was a yellow hull with a red strip and an extremely hot black interior. Not much room but I had a lot of fun with it.

It was either a biesmeyer, or splashed from same.
289 Ford, Berkeley Jet. Built in 1966 by Roger Whipp and Jack VanEk in Redding.
Fun boat. I got it from my folks after it sat neglected for several years. Around 1983 or so. I rebuilt it and ran it for a few years before moving on to my next boat.

1969 Mark Twain I/O with an Iron Duke 4 cyl. 120 HP.
Pulled a tractor tube with rope wrapped around it. Try to keep the valve stem from giving you a probe and the rope from rubbing a hole in it. A hole in the tube that is.

My first boat was a 13ft downstream kayak. Made it from a mold in 72 for 50 bucks. Grew up with boats in the family. The first power boat I've owned in my name is the 86 Eliminator Sprint I have now. It's pic is posted in Hot spots west with the Lake Isabella pics. It's the boat in the third picture. I have no idea how to put it here.
