Which extremist groups want to shut down the Colorado River to all of us?

It has been a while since I have posted here. Hello again!
I have a neighbor who also owns a boat and is a member of the CSC. He said that there are a lot of extremist groups out there who want to shut down the Colorado River to all watercraft. Not only that, these groups apparently want the Hoover, Davis, Parker and Imperial dams shut down also.
I have been searching on the web only to come up empty with some hard evidence.
Does anyone out there have this evidence or a link? My neighbor specifically mentioned the NRDC as one of these groups but have found nothing on the net.
Any kind of articles or links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've followed this "movement" Amounts to a group on the fringe with agenda, unfortunately also with political sway and resources. When politics and money get involved, common sense goes out the window. These forces no immediate threat, but over time, maybe?
If you consider their reasoning for breaching dams, you'll find it contradictory at best and pure bullsh*t at worst. But truth has little bearing within private political agenda.
