I had a 440 yammy back when I was in Highschool and all winter long we would race in this farmers field by our house and there was this corner between the road and the train tracks that would lead 2 sleds wide from one field to another feild and there was a clothes line pole on the inside of the bgining of the corner and I hooked my ski on it at about 45 and it threw me and totaled my sled.
I used to have 2 Harley davidson sleds as well them things would actually fly too.

DUDE !!!
That is what we do with the pull behind the boat tubes in winter here in Oklahoma.
Take the canvas cover off and the vinyl tube is like greased lightning on snow.
Dont always get enough snow here. Most winters get enough for 1 or 2 sleddings. If it happens on the weekend.
Where have you guys been?

So are you guys reffering to taking a sled and tying it up behind something fast and motorized or snowmobiling?

Snowmobliing is a blast, and your beer is always cold. We get lots of it in here. I can get on the river in front of my house and get to about 5 buddies houses within 15 minutes of riding. Once a trail is packed, she's 90 mph all the way.

They're sleds run about 65 MPH and they're maxed out. They are non drinkers so I have to have sober sledding trips when I go up with them.
I'm trying to convince the lady that we should buy some sleds this winter but I don't think she's going to go for it. Maybe after I take her up and rent some sleds at $300 for the day she'll have a blast and decide to let me buy 2 of them. Who knows..

pick up a thunder cat or a skidoo with a 1000cc motor and run 90 all day. My buddy had an 800cc cat that ran 122 in a radar run.

If I buy sleds I am going to buy 2 older sleds like 93-96 based on the fact that the last time I went sledding I did about $600 worth of cosmetic damage to the sled. I don't want to drop 15g's and bust a sled up like I know I will. Apparently Snowmobiles don't react when 8 feet in the air like a dirt bike does eek!

Mine is only a 583cc MXZ. Just about anything over 583cc will run 90mph now a days. You should be able to find a couple of good sleds in that year range for 4500 / 5000 each. Lots around here for that kind of money.
