Anyone read the blurb in the latest Hot Boat on the new v-bottom that has some blended in "pontoons"? Combo Vee and tunnel. Family & Performance Boating magazine has a couple of pictures of it. Kind of reminds me of the old style Sleekcrafts but bigger!

Carlson, forget his first name, was with Glastron. He made a hull like that where it was a tunnel in the front and a V in the stern. They had a little write up in the Bob Brown section of HB. It was suppose to to make the hull faster and better stabillity than a regular V.

bigq...his name was Art Carlson, and he designed numerous experimental and production boats. The boat you are referring to came in 14' and 16' versions around 1961, was outboard powered, with a non-pickelfork tunnel from leading to a flatbottom with "non-trip" chines at the rear. Made of fiberglass, I raced my Brendellas on by them, as my boats were much lighter glass over wood. Good solid family boat that looked nice. Later Art went to Glastron where he designed many beautiful and excellent performing boats.
