What is the most interesting item you ever found on the beach or in the water while boating? We were about to head home for the week because of running low on funds....took a walk down the beach and found a really old wallet with about $100.00 in it and no identification....had a great time for a few extra days!

I haven't found anything too exciting; cash, nechlace, normal stuff like that. My buddy however was at the beach in Encinitas and his ladies little 6 year old son ran up to him and says, "Look I found a Jellyfish".....AND sure enough he was holding a breast implant that he found on the beach. By the time he showed them the Jellyfish, the kid had named it and everything.

Found a dead body under the bridge at Anderso Res. in Morgan Hill, a succesful suicide, and an predead body at Colero Res. in south San Jose! The latter ended up surviving after a life flight trip to a local ER... I'd prefer to find wallets!

Funny you should say that because that's exactly what my buddies were saying last saturday after I talked them into going to the Delta for Tower Park 2. We almost got killed by a fellow jetboater who will remain un-named here... wink
BTW, I don't limit my corpse spottings to local waterways as I've had close encounters in parking lots, major highways and storm drains as well.

I hate to post this because I'm still pissed but what the hell. I was at the beach in San Diego when I was 7 and was digging through the sand, messing around. I saw a paper bag laying there about 20 feet from me and picked it up. Inside was a rolex watch. Of course, I yelled at the top of my lungs "LOOK MOM, I FOUND A WATCH!"
Within seconds, some ass hole surfer who was sitting there the whole time watching me said it was his watch and took it. He was gone in seconds before my mom even knew it. That a-hole took my treasure. He is on my list. I don't remember what he looks like, but he's still on it.

A few years ago we were exploring the Feather river and cam upon an old ArenaCraft jet boat half sunk in the sand. This thing looked pretty complete. This area was very secluded, miles from anywhere, over the next few months we went back a few times and it was still there. I kept expecting to see some evidence somebody was doing something about it, but I never did.
