I don't get where you Kalifornia/Arizona types go to the bathroom. Do you carry trees in your boats?

I thought the name on this thread was a new cove in Havasu. Then I opened it up in a hurry and hit the reality wall. Nice view of the landscape.

Yeah does look a little on the laid back side but no need to drill any holes here. Like dude said slow weekend. I like to hit Okaboji here in Iowa on big weekends lots of action that hollywood don't know about and I hope they stay the **** away too. This dude who has a house on okaboji has a ****ing lock that he uses to pull his boats into an attached garage I want one of those. and the water is clear you can see down 10' after it rains. and the college girls out there are fenominal. to bad I married one I want variety.

I'll have to take some pictures when I go on my next Wyoming trip. Trees galore and not to many hot boats. Last time I was there I seen a couple big boats but mostly bajas. Did get to see a Playboy cigarette out there though. Thought it was weird seeing a big offshore boat on a lake in Wyoming.
Nice place though, much quieter and less congested then havasu. But considering im 22 and like to have fun with drunk college girls ill take havasu any day.

I'm going to try and finish up the next roll this weekend. I sure you guys would be interested in the sweety that mooned me at Woodard Hollow. Weather has been lousy for getting the honies to the lake, so no guarantees.

Don't people of color boat on those lakes? "I see white people" (6 sense) I'm sure they'd sh*t their suits if a mexican like me rolled in there with my boat. It looks like a cool place.
Scuba, if you like tree's go to Nacimento or Shasta, plenty of them.

Seadog nice pics. Get out of that marina and take some pics in some different spots on the lake so we can check it out. I must say that Havasu is tough to beat.

California still the best. I can picture it now, pay 6 months salary for the boat registration, drive for half of the weekend to get there, wait in line the rest of the weekend at the ramp, Authorities at the ramp, so many big boats the water is always torn up, Authorities all over the water, speed limits, crowded as hell, take off Monday to wait in line at the ramp and drive home. wink

Woponwater, Grand lake is not a fed lake. It allows private ownership and therefore almost every cove is full of houses and boat docks, some more than others. It is a pro/con deal. No shortage of marinas, restraurants and gas stations, but very little untouched shoreline on the south half. The wives usually love checking out the great houses.

Grand is in NE Oklahoma, about 15 hours from Albuquerque, depending on speed and stops.
Representive amount of black and hispanic guys on Grand, but if you will notice the central subject of the pictures, you will see why they are not shown. Grand is like a lot of large lakes in that money plays a big role in who goes where. Lots of budget boating, but the Dripping Springs and Woodard areas usually require going through the main channel which can get pretty choppy from all the 40-50 yachts. You do not want to a low freeboard on Grand except for windless weekdays.

I am going to have to apoligize, because I won't be posting more pics soon. I went out today to have a fun day with my gang. Last minute, all the guys that were to go with me had to work and canceled. I went and helped one BIL to load up a lift to be repaired, but then it was just me and the dog.
I decided to finih up the roll of film anyway. I stopped and got permission at several locations to take some pics and they all said that I needed to be there in an hour to get great pics.
I decided to pass on lunch to check out the activities. Lots of boats passing thru and I finished the roll, only to find that someone had stuck a roll of B&W film in my bag. It will be awhile before I can get to a lab where I can develop the pics and I don't know if many of them will come out since I didn't have the filters or setup I would use with B&W.
I parked near the bluffs to catch a few pics of the jumpers and was anchored near some 30+ types in a 35+ ft schooner. Probably Daddy's money. This one jackass would make remarks like "pervent" and other name calling every time I took a picture. After awhile, some of the other boats were acting strange, wondering what the deal was. This ass accused me of doing porn shots of 13 yr olds (never took one pic of teens and definitely have no desire to take pics of young girls). He goes on about my taking pictures being immoral and illegal, invasion of privacy, perverted, so on and so on.
After finally getting ticked and not being able to talk sense into this mental midget, (plus when I get pissed, I am not my most articulate) I left. Tried to get some pics at one group that had wanted me to come back, but they were in too much chaos with shuffling boats. At a calmer area, when I went by, the girls were yelling for me to come over and take pics, but I didn't get that roll finished and I was too pissed to work at it. I go to the lake to relax and while I have a P&S, my main camera is strictly business and requires mental focus.
So anyway, bad day, I had an experience with a jerk that screwed my attitude and then had to cut my weekend short to boot. I hope everyone had a better day than me. I keep trying to think at least I was on the water.
