Stay clear of the road rapers at Roadrunner. You won't remeber the mood lights or the night float. :D :D

714-623-2434 Unfortunately I have to be in town for a party this weekend (not my choice), so I won't be out...I will be out next weekend though. Have a good/safe time out there. :)

You might want to try this other place...it's not too far. Lot's more room, more coves, better water, a couple sandbars...

More room, more coves..yeah. :) ..Better Water??? not cleaner, and other than that not too much diff...also, with the price of gas, the current at Parker helps :D and last but not least that place up the way has NO bars or restaurants on the water :) :D :)

More room, more coves..yeah.Lots of good coves at Parker...what I really enjoy about Parker is how the PWCs jump out at you off the shore...I mean, what fun would boating be without the PWC obstacle course known as Parker?
mbrown2:
..Better Water??? not cleaner..Remember, Parker is downriver. In my physics class, I was taught that being downriver is bad...
As for smooth water...well, let's just say that the only thing worse than a narrow PWC obstacle course, is one that is worked up into "washing machine mode" on the weekends...
mbrown2:
...also, with the price of gas, the current at Parker helpsOnce again, in Physics, I was taught that what goes up, must come down. Unless ParkerDave is going to drive your trailer downriver and wait for you.
mbrown2:
..and last but not least that place up the way has NO bars or restaurants on the water...You're right- I've never boated up and had a meal and/or cocktail at Havasu Landing Casino, Havasu Springs, Black Meadow Landing, Kokomo, London Bridge Resort, Sugarues, the Pizza and Mexican food places under the bridge, Nautical Inn, and Topock Bar. Those are definately not accessable by water.
Once again, IMHO, there are only two reasons to go to Parker:
1. You feel the need to dodge PWCs and rockbeds while fighting the "washing machine" effect.
2. Your parents have a free place there.

Stay clear of the road rapers at Roadrunner. Nothing good has ever come out of drinking Roadrapers. One night while we were sitting at the bar we got questioned by the feds about drugs (after drinking numerous Rapers), and none of us have ever been into drugs. It was rather humerous. Then another night my Roadrapered drunk sister fell off the deck of the boat and split her chin wide open. We made her hold a towel on it for about an hour and a half before we went to the hospital (where she received 10 stitches). So be CAREFUL with those things. Personally NO more for me.

Havasu Hangin',
For someone who seems to value the small town life of the lake, why are you trying to convert all these people who love the river over to the lake? Seems like you are cutting of your nose to spite your face.
I was raised on Parker since I was 4 months old. I have had a place at Havasu Springs for 16 years now. I still love Parker as much as I love Havasu. Obviously you don't spent too much time on Parker. The only major accident I've ever seen involving a pwc (not to say that I haven't been cut off by any on Parker or Havasu) was on Havasu.
As for the "washing machine", I haven't seen you ski from the Springs to the channel. Havasu is a much better training ground for ski racers, because of the big/rough water. I'm not just talkin about the big weekends either.
I think you're perfect for Havasu, so stay up there, and let the people who know how to navigate through the hellaciuos (sp?) water way called the Parker Strip.
If it's too fast, too loud, too expensive or too crazy................Your tooooo OLD!

h2oski2fast- since you used to have a place at Parker, surely you understand the ramifications of being downriver from Havasu.
I sometimes think that exposure to old Havasu water is what causes (what I call) the "Parker boating mentality"...essencially it's a need to get drunk at the bars (Roadrapers for example), run your boats at full speed on a river (in a sort of "jousting match"), while dodging PWCs and rock beds in the "washing machine" conditions.
h2oski2fast:
I was raised on Parker since I was 4 months old. Well that explains alot...Roadrapers at 4 months old can't be good for anyone.

h2oski2fast:
Obviously you don't spent too much time on Parker. The only major accident I've ever seen involving a pwc (not to say that I haven't been cut off by any on Parker or Havasu) was on Havasu.Perhaps if you would stop drinking for a minute, your memory might be clearer. I never said "accidents"...you did.
h2oski2fast:
As for the "washing machine", I haven't seen you ski from the Springs to the channel. Havasu is a much better training ground for ski racers, because of the big/rough water. I'm not just talkin about the big weekends either. Are we going down memory (or lack of) lane now?
The last time I was at Parker, it was worse than I have ever seen it, and as bad (if not worse) than any lake. Even the locals were whining, "HH...it's too rough...can we ride with you guys? Daddy's boat is too small"...
h2oski2fast:
I think you're perfect for Havasu..Thank you. I have found that I fit in much better at Havasu, since I didn't marry my sister...if I did, then I would fit in at Parker.
h2oski2fast:
...why are you trying to convert all these people who love the river over to the lake?I congratulate you on your decision to pump the tires up on your trailer...er..."home" and move to a much better place (Havasu). However, please consider firing up the 1964 "Parker Special" Dodge Ram pickup, hooking up your "home" to it, and going back to "small town" Parker.
http://www.lamer.net/walmart.gif
I think Havasu is implementing the "4 teeth minimum" on all those who live on Havasu, and if you're from Parker...there's no way you can meet that criteria.

Well...I just got off the phone with the Director of Hot Boat Tourism for Lake Havasu. They confirmed my two suspicions:
1. Parker locals with 4 teeth or less must stay in Parker. This will no doubt include all the ladies from Parker.
h2oski2fast- I submitted your picture, showing that you actually had more than 4 teeth, but it got rejected anyway:
http://free.***boat.net/ubb/Avatars/Hot_Boat_Happenings/Havasu_and_The_River/you_might_be_a_redneck.JPG
Something about indoor plumbing, and you were contributing to the high bacteria levels at Havasu...
2. Havasu now has a minimum height requirement. Apparently, each launchramp will now have a "you must be above this line to boat" signs posted, with 5'5" being the minumum.
When I asked if they will be checking everyone, they said that they will be conducting only random checks, and they usually look for big trucks with the driver's seat really far forward. Also, the bigger the boat, the greater the chance of being checked.
So who's going to Parker?
