Hi guys,
Another year teaching is done summer is out and my brother and I have decided to take on yet another project. We are going to build a custom bimini for our 26 cat for the open bow section of the boat. That sun is no joke out there, it's no fun when your beers get warm faster in the front of the boat, while the ice in the margaritas hasn't even started to melt for the passengers in the back. We have a design that would allow the front bimini to fold down quickly and fold in half which would allow it to be stored in the front sponsons when not in use. I've seen those umbrella ones that have a huge pole down the center and that wouldn't work well on our open bow. We already have the design laid out, just don't know where's the best place with the best prices to get the hardware to complete the project. My brother lives in the 909 area in Colton, I live in the San Diego area near La Mesa. If anyone out there knows where the best place to get the hardware (tubing, quick connectors, etc) to do it yourself I'd appreciate any feedback.

Bienz Marine Canvas (619) 265-9356, 451 Hale Ave., Escondido. Even though it's a (619) number it still transfers to his shop.
This guy is cool and fair priced.

So it looks like we have a few San Diegans in the house, 619 representing. Frosty, i'm actually hoping to teach in the Scripps Ranch area next school year. I'm at a school that is just not working out for me right now, and I want to work north of the 8 freeway. I used to live in Tierra Santa, now i'm right around the corner from the SDSU dorms, I know, I know, poor o me. Thanks for the info guys

Forensic, if you come across any good stuff let me know. My brother is going to do the stitching for the top, and already has the canvas for it. We just need to purchase all the stainless tubing and mounting hardware.
