Im just curious how many Hot-Boat guys have sleds?
I have a 1997 Arctic-Cat ZRT-800 with D&D 900 ported cylinders with D&D pipes,reeds and clutching and gearing.
1997 Arctic-Cat ZR580 EFI for the wife to ride.
I ride mostly in up-state NY. Old Forge,Tug Hill, and Pharsalia NY.

I got me a 97' MXZ 583 that I use to blast around on. I live on the river, so I can get on there and go visit friends and go just about every where if the snow is good. Excellent time. :) :D

I have a 1998 583 MXZ and a 1981 550 Blizzard MX. I bought both of them when new, the Blizzard has never needed a thing, and is in perfect shape, the MXz is a great trail sled, but has had it's share of problems. I keep them in Iowa and only ride them two weeks out of the year when I go back to visit family in January, so as you can guess, they are extremely low milage sleds. When you compare the 1981 (1st year for rear suspension) to the 1998, it's day and night, they came a long way. When I bought the Blizzard in 1981, I was thinking to myself "wow, how will they ever top this sled". Man, was I stupid... I love the sleds, but just don't live in an area where I can use them... for now.

Just picked up my F7 last weekend. 140 Hp @ 470 lbs. Had a 01 ZL800 before that. Haven't got on it hard yet, still getting the break-in gas through it. Put 170 Woodys Gold Diggers in so it should hookup well. Hoping it'll run with the RX1's.
Dan, I read that the NY trails were in trouble, something about insurance.?. I ride the WI northwoods, no real snow yet, but the lakes have 10-12in of ice.

We have pretty decent snow where I live. The Insurance thing was a huge issue. So far they have worked it out, but are paying alot more than before.
Yes the picture look very familier.
You will Love the F7....They are very fast. One of my riding buddies bought one. He was running another friend with a 2001 T-Cat with pipes. The F7 was the winner every time :D

Blown,
I take hwy 10 past Weyauwega almost everytime I go up. They still ice-race cars on that small lake near hwy X? I thought I saw someone doing laps last week.

You would think that I would be a big sled guy living on the Canadian prairies. At the moment, I don't own any sleds.
Great pic, Nokomis. :)
Here's a little history for you guys... Sno-Jet was once owned by Glastron. Cool, eh?

Dan,
Glad your surgery went well for you. :) Do you know if you can put some miles on this winter, or do you have to take it easy. That ZRT w/mods must haul. I had a 99 800 Pantera 2up that I sold last year. Bone stock w/myself and wife onboard would go triple digits. I don't care if I'm slower than a t-cat. Its the blue, red, and yellow ones I want to beat! wink

Yup thats a fact. There are some other boat companys that built sleds. Starcraft,Arctic-Cat owned a company called Silver Line.

Tom,
Driving a sled over 100mph one handed (one on the camera) may not have been the smartest thing I've ever done, but the video was cool.

Going a 100 m.p.h. is a pretty neat thing on a sled.

I have a 96 Polaris Ultra SKS Piped, cluched, jetted, geared the whole thing. If anyone has one of these ultras not piped I suggest you pipe it, it really woke up this machine. Now if we could get some snow.
