So like I said yesterday I got to tag along for the first run in a brand spanking new boat.
Ok first off this is RiskyinEllsinore's rig, not mine. But I was around during every step of the build up so I feel I can give an accurate report.
It's a 23' Renegade with the 496HO package. Renegade Boats is in Anaheim, CA and only about 2 blocks from our shop. Risky and I would swing by there at lunch almost every day.
Ron Pace was straight up front on what he would do and he kept his word. No hidden charges at all! No delays at all! He required a reasonable deposit to get started and Risky was not making boat payments while his boat was getting built. I know lots of people that made 4 or 5 payments and didn't even have their boat. Not the case at Renegade.
Here is the completed rig ready to hit the lake.

Now Risky came up with the gel colors. I must say that its not easy coming up with what to do with your boat. I went through the same thing with mine.
I can say that Reneagade did a great job on the gel and the glass work too. The tape lines are nice and straight and no jagged edges at all. Very clean, very clean.
Here's the helm. Dana billet hardware through out. Risky wanted the wheel on the wrong side so that's what he got.

Now we didn't get to get into the throttles at all as we were at Puddingstone Lake and that's a big no no there. Our mission was to run it around a bit and see if it was tight and right. It was, boat ran great, sounded great through the s.s. offshore style exhaust tips and had no leaks. Just what you would expect right?
Ok all you snowed in east coasters, eat your hart out! :D

You can get it in a closed deck, cuddy or crawl through open bow or a walk through open bow. Risky is not the smallest guy on earth so he went with the walk through open bow. I'm glad he did as it's much easier to get up there to get dock lines and stuff like that.
Oh, we were running about 35-40 when this shot was taken. :)
