Well I guess Jerry Buss cheap ass finally caught up to the Lakers not getting a quality Power Forward. I am not too upset because they really have been exciting for the last four years. I expect there will be alot of changes next year. Even Phil is thinking about calling it quits, I guess Jennie is sexin him too much. haha. Well I guess you'll see Kobe practing in Newport Beach somewhere. Let me know what you people think.

I for one am glad to see the Lakers lose. I would like to see the Kings take it but with weber being injured I cant see anybody stopping the Spurs. As for seeing Kobe at newport beach, I see his house everyday at work.

All I can say is the Lakers deserve a rest. Playing all those games over the past 3-4 years finally caught up with them. Samaki was supposed to be that power foward and never made it.
I am kind of happy now it's over with and I can get on with my summer, and not have to stand in 90 degree heat for the Laker parade.
I'll be ready for another championship run next year. I figure if Phil sticks around they have another 3 peat in them.

Duncan was unstoppable. Even Shaq couldn't stop him. The Spurs are on a mission this year, the Admiral's last. They want to send him off with the Championship.

The bulls took a year off in between. And where are the bulls now? 6 & out. dont quote me on this but if I recall the Lakers have only missed on playoff series since they came to LA.

Actually, da Bulls took two years off for the 1st Jordan "retirement" aka gambling non-bust.
Geez...after 8 years in the spotlight wouldn't you want some time off... before the "3peat" seasons the Lakers hadn't won the Championship since the 87-88 season. Lots of time to build, huh? Oops...had to wait until Jackson could come over (from the Bulls, no less)! :D

Of course a real dynasty was the Celtics - 10 championships in 11 seasons from '58 to '69. Never be repeated.

Thor - actually the Celtics were champions 8 seasons in a row (8peat) from '58 to '65 - a feat not to be repeated, ever.

Laker team with Jabber, Magic and Worthy,Cooper, AC Green etc. Best team ever Back in the days when they all still shot hoops instead of carrying it to the hoop all the time. Takes real talent to shoot and win(see game 5) and the good ol' boys had that, todays game has just become to power oriented and doesn't interest me much.

Yeah it took the Lakers 12 years to win it all from the 88 season But most of the great teams from the late 80's early 90's are no where to be found now. Lakers probably have been the most consistant team out there. It will take 15-30 years before the Bulls even make the playoffs again. Even the clippers made the playoffs a few years back.
