Well Boyz & Girls we had a great turnout this past Saturday at the Sandbar.
This was the largest turnout of the board members in one location I have seen in a while.

I have to admit that while I was admiring the "EL Diablo" a certain young lady that is seen in the first pic here..stood defiantely as my buddy and i came to look at the boat. with her arms folded across here chest..she informed us that it was ok to look at her boat..but only for a minute or 2. we thanked her..took our look and were gone in the alotted time she had given us..My wife and I have never seen so many beautiful boats in one spot...especially "EL Diablo". we cant wait to go there again..We had a blast.

Looks like fun there. But one crazy question. Where does everyone take a piss? Really, I see everyone drinking lots of beer at these "sandbars" and don't see alot of places to piss. The water must get rather warm by the end of the day.

Damn I wish I had made it back up to the SandBar, HDD was describing the fish tacos to us in the channel earlier. HDD, those are some great pics, thanks for the one of me and mom. We had the folks with us this weekend so they are my excuse for not braving the afternoon chop to come back up river. Of all the great pics, did anybody get one of Phil (SVO540) with that bad helmet and goggles deal he was wearin as he left the channel? :D We'll be back next weekend again, so we can look for everyone then. wink

It was a great weekend out there. Not to crowded and great weather. Saw different board members, but now see that I could have seena lot more on Saturday up at the Sandbar. HDD, it was good to see you. Driz, I walked passed you guys a couple times and saw a couple other board members boats but didn't get a chance to talk. Mandelon, saw you in the channel on Saunday and waived as we passed by. I was out on my buddies boat this past weekend. It was the 22' Eliminator daytona that was all white and had the blown motor sticking out the back.

I didn't need the speed helmet and goggles on the way back from the sandbar, I was in tow mode. What's funny is as I was reaching down to grab the helmet and goggles for the approach into the sandbar, the damn drive let go. I only got to make one low speed pass through the channel with the damn thing on. I drove by the 40 foot skater and tried to get the owners to race. They must have been affraid of the helmet.
At least the drive broke about 100 feet from the Sandbar. I new I would be getting a tow home so from then on out is was party time.
Nothing like getting towed home from the Sandbar on a Saturday afternoon. You would not believe how many of your friends come by. We had friends blast by at what looked like 100, stop to check on us, take pictures, say hello, say sorry, etc. I think almost every one of my friends from the boards was there to witness my tow.
In my fraternity at USC, we would call the walk the girls had to make in the morning back to their sorority house the "Walk of Shame" My tow reminded me of this.
