any hints on mounting a flag on the back of our boat? has molded swimstep. also, what length boat can/should fly a "yacht" flag in lieu of regular flag? the guy at west marine told me before but i have that "half - timer's" thing going on and cant remember! wink

The yacht ensign can be used anytime. It is an acceptable substitute for the American ensign in US waters. It was designed by the US Yacht Club in 1848 and approved by the government to stop the practice of nations charging all vessels commercial fees. Either flag is legal and proper

Try Overton's they have a bunch of different flag hardware. :cool:

our light pole is up on the hard deck in front of the windsheild. i dont know if you should fly a flag from there. i was thinking somewhere from the back??? :confused:

actually i think it has to do with the length of the boat as to where the light is. ours is about in the middle of the boat (29 ft) but there is a small white light at the stern also.
