I have a 1975 Holmes jet with a stock chevy big block. I recently bought the boat and did full restore with just about everything new or rebuilt. Now that i have the motor back in am hung up on how to wire the altenator. I have wired everything else but i cant seem to get any clear answers as to how to do this. It is the same altenator that came with the boat when i bought it and i am not sure of the brand. There is currently one wire coming off the altenator and another wire post with no wire. Not sure which is which. I assume it has to run through the ignition some how or maybe throught a volt regulator. As you can tell, electrical is not my strong point. Any help would be appreciated.
