New Webmaster

There has been a little confusion lately. About a week and a half to two weeks ago Erik (former webmaster of ***boat.net) resigned to move on to bigger and better projects. My name is Craig Lathrop and I have taken over the site, and the “***boat” user name in the forums.
Some upgrades and changes are coming down the line, but no drastic changes to the forums will be made. I will let everyone know about the changes as they come online.
The main goal of the changes will be to take the vast amount of data on the website, organize it and make it searchable. This is especially true of the test results data.

I have one request. There seems to be some trouble with linking avitars with images hosted in the media center. I know that most of us have had their images hosted somewhere else to make our avitars work. But I would be nice to get this problem resolved for the new people.

I did not get the pics from the OP6 thing that Erik took, but I will ask. I think I know someone else who might have them as well.
I will also take a look into having pictures in a separate box at the bottom of the Post.
I also got a picture up, not a very good one but all I have with me (I am traveling right now).

I have to admit I feel kinda sad that Erik's gone, but I'm sure he'll do well where ever he may land.
Good luck in managing this place! It can get kinda "unruly" at times. (I have a feeling this is going to be a rough winter on the boards)

Hit counters? I can add that. We are looking at Feb 1st for all the changes to come out. I would prefer to release all changes at once.
As far as Erik, I cannot say with any certainty what his plans are. I do not think that he is with Hot Boat anymore, but he I am fairly sure he is not leaving the online boating community. Time will tell, but I am sure you will see more of him online somewhere.

As far as suggestions for changes goes, on some other boards there is a button in the "Last Post" column of each forum to take you to the last post so you don't have to open the post, hit the last page, and then scroll to the bottom. Minor inconvenience, but the button is much nicer. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into making these baords a decent place to hang!
