Hell, even Paul Martin accepted some blame for authorizing extra funding to the registry without parliamentary consent, yet Allan Rock stands alone. Denial is what it is called. When I see him on television I won't be able to shake the mental image of his pinky finger creeping to the corner of his mouth and will be keeping a close eye out, looking for Mr. Bigglesworth.
Perhaps Allan Rock wants us to believe that by continuing with the gun registry that we will not have another psycho running around killing people. He often makes reference to the horrible massacre of women in Quebec. What he doesn't mention is that in C-68, millions of dollars are being spent on a paper tiger and that C-68 does little to protect us from the Marc Lepines of the world. His casual use of this tragedy bothers me. I am still trying to figure out what's going on here. I have read the petition to repeal C-68 which you can look over by clicking Here. I am also trying to gather enough information and filter through the rhetoric (from both sides) and provide enough links here so that the C-68 illiterates like myself can make an informed decision. Click Here Admittedly I have leaning towards the repeal of this legislation but at the same time respect the views of others who do not share this opinion.
I encourage Canadians to read both sides of this story and then make a decision as to whether we, as Canadian taxpayers can afford continue to support and pay for this registry.
By the way. I don't own a gun and don't want them in my house but neither do I want my government spending a billion dollars when they said they would spend only 2 million. Something is wrong!
