Has anyone had any luck lowering their's ? I have mine lowered with a belltech kit, its low in the front, but you cant bring the back down to match it without bottoming out the shock, and I put the belltech drop shocks on mine!! I am wondering if there is a kit that moves the mounting of the shock lower on the axle, as well as the airbag.

Yeah man, I've been lurking for a few weeks and decided to get back on here in time for boating season :) The boat is good, need a new amp, I popped my Sony one and probably get a few new speakers for it and an oil cooler, but other than that, the motor runs great and I have been taking it out pretty often with my friends and family.

Did you put on the shock extensions?, they come with the kit.

Na, mine is a 2000 XLT Sport, but when you order the tow package you can get airbag suspension as an option which just levels the truck when you have weight on it and it comes with a 30 gallon tank too for long distance towing, which is good because the only stops I make during the drive to the river is to fill up on beer for the drive.
But wicked1, what are you talking about the extensions ? The kit came with springs and drop shocks for the front and a bracket to bring the airbags down in the back as well as drop shocks and over-extension straps, but no shock extender thing....
What I think needs to happen is either the shocks need to be shorter, or the shock mount needs to be relocated lower on the axle so you can get more travel for the shock.

Hallet my buddies at torch industries can take care of it for you. They do tons of air bag work, along with body drops and jsut about anything else you want done. They are in glendora. Let me know if you want to talk to them.

yeah, right on Bense, let me give them a call and see if they can help me, I just need to get my comfortable ride back with the amount I have it lowered. It bounces a bit and has next to ZERO suspension travel, but it sure does look good :)

Hey hallet those shock extensions that i was telling you bolt on to the factory shock mounts and extend the shock lower than the factory ones.. so basically it gives the loweres shock more travel... it lowers the shock mount below the axle

dude, that is exactly what I need !!! Do you sell them ? If you can get your hands on some, let me know. And also, what kind of drop shocks do you guys like ? I have been told doeschtechs are good, I have the belltech nitro drops now, twin tube thing a majigs. The guys at belltech told me that the nitro actives are the best, stiffer and help keep the car under control.

It pretty much sounded like it was resolved, hence the lack of comments. :D
But while we're here, it doesn't sound like anything a cutting torch and sledge hammer couldn't fix, after all, it is only a Ford. :D
