I had a 98 and 99 and have not bought a new one because eveyone has told me that the new ones cant get down and still keep the hauling capacity?
I figured since everything i like happens out west I might as well se who is dropping the trucks
I like that 22.5 rim but I have only seen it on raised trucks.

I have a new style 99 and from what I've heard the only way to slam the new ones and keep payload capacity is to air bag the rear end.Call Bell Tech or the drop shop and talk to them.

Both of my old trucks were bagged so I am familar. I seen a new style truck that was built for last years sema show for Alcoa. The truck was built by rick ball(not sure on last name) motorsports out of IL but i have not been able to find them. Where is the drop shop?

Jesse James,my 01 has a DJM 6/8 kit, easy to install, tow capacity was less than stock, and it still rides like a 1 ton.I am in the process of 4 bar/air bagging now.I have most of it mounted,I'm waiting for my new APP 19.5's,selling the FOOSE spank's(spam). When I get the bags on the rear I will get it down 2" more in back!!!APP has 22x10's but you have to tub the rear, and there $7 g's

I would love to see pics. I was spending about 8k per truck and had the following done
alcoa rims michelin tires
shaved cab and bed lights (side)
painted mirrors and handles
airbaged rear with compressor (ithink they put some kind of of none changeable in the front)
drop ? (alot I have pics but dont know how to post)
hidden hitch
rollpan rear
paint bumper
custom grill
Does that seem high and is that in line with todays prices?

Don't EVER, EVER, EVER use the drop shop for a damn thing. They are a bunch of crooked a**holes. They shipped me 1-ton components for my 3/4 ton truck. I asked them if I could get a refund if I shipped the parts back as I already got the right parts locally (where I should have gone to begin with). They said sure. After shipping the parts (verified receipt) calling them no less than 4 times per week for 6 months and going so far as to get my credit card company involved, I still have NO REFUND. Every time I would call for the first couple of months, they would tell me, you should see your refund on your credit card in the next few days.
Then after about two months, I get the schpiel on how the changed ownership and their is nothing that can be done. Call back with my credit card company a day or two later, and the same guys answer the phone. Then we (me and my card company) get a schpiel on how they need to change banks because something isn't right. Next it is their Visa machine that is messed up. After six months of f'n bullshit, I gave up! If I was in Calif. I would have taken them to small claims court. Too much brain damage from Indy.
So, I posted this info. in a thread about a year ago hear on the ***boat Board. Another guy with a mid-90's dually said they f'd him big time. He had them drop and bag his crew cab dually. $3,000 worth (bags in back only) and $2,500 for Trader's to fix it. Binding air bags due to improperly located mounts, used shocks, used ball joints, etc. He got the same schpiel as I did about changing owners, etc. The drop shop even got nasty with him saying that he was f'd and there was nothing he could do about it!
Don't EVER use these FOCKERS and if you are in Chino, drop buy and sock the owner in the mouth for me!  I think his name is Bruce.
Okay, now to answer your question Jesse. I would call one of two places. DJM Components there in CA or Air Bag Suspension Technologies in Indianapolis. It really depends on how low you want to go and how much money you want to spend. If you have to be slammed, air bags on all four corners are the way to go. If you can handle just being pretty low, call DJM, they have good stuff and are reputable. Good Luck

Put your mouse over the picture, then right-click and select "Properties". See the "Address (URL)"?
That's the address to use.
