3-series BMWs can go either way but 5's, 7's are not.
Standard Miata is a chick car, modified Miatas are not.

Jags - neither. Miata is still a miata regardless of modifications. Saying a modified miata makes it no longer a chick car is like saying slapping a T4 turbo charger on a Civic Hatchback would make it a sports car.

Definitely a chick car. As are most of the newer VWs. Especially the "New Beetle", which would fall into the category of chick car, or (if a guy is driving one) GAY.

My 20 year old daughter claims that "real men" only drive trucks! She considers Camaros, firebirds, and mustangs all chick cars. She considers her 92 t-bird an "old persons" car even though it's equipped just like a mustang. As cars, I don't think the jag or the boxter are "chick cars", but I have noticed that most guys driving any of those listed cars are pretty sharp dressers and you know what that means...

Miata - Queen of the chick cars. So much so, that you might as well not get offended if you drive one.
Mini Cooper - Super cool...For a chick. Charlize Theron looked a hell of a lot better driving one in "The Italian Job" than Marky Mark did. He only drove it 'cause it fit through a hallway.
Audi TT - Cool car, but super femme. Definitely a chick car.
Boxster - No question. It is especially a chick/homo car in the lavenderesque color they have.
Jag XK8 - On the fence. I would say definite chick car, but it is also quite ballin. I would say it would require the appropriate color and wheel combination to be a guys car for sure.
BMW 3 Series - I am with the populous regarding the M3, but put it in the moped catagory. Fun to ride, don't let your freinds catch you in it. The M3 is basically a pimped out chick car. The stock M3 coupe or convert is definitely a chick car, or a chick played a huge roll in it's purchase. Probably even matches her lipstick and panties.
I would say that as a rule, any model by any manufacturer that is offered in a jewel tone color is a chick car. This is likely universally true. Orange doesn't count, neither does yellow. We are talking about sapphires and star ruby colors here. Not ones from your basic paint pot. Emerald greens (Not British Racing Green or Polo Green), Light pearly blues, any color that could be construed as "amethyst" or the like all qualify. Anthracite is a rock, not a gem so that doesn't count.
And no, no matter what the year or stock color, a
convertible Vette is not a chick car. Chicks look amazing driving them, but they look amazing in your button down shirt too. Neither is the convertible Mustang. However, if a chick is driving a seriously pimped out 'Stang with no man to be found... probably a little heavy in the loafers if you know what I mean. Probably owns a Harley too.
